this drama after a long time showed villans to have every right to be villans... no just some random guy coming…
There are so many villains in this drama, each with their own backstory. The show takes its time to explain their motives without dragging out the plot or overloading it with unnecessary flashbacks. It's well-paced and has great storytelling.

While the drama was airing, every episode end in the day kept me hanging wondering what would happen next, who was who, why they did certain things and what their intentions were. I went to check the Reddit discussions and wow, I loved it! It felt like having friends to talk to about exactly what I was interested in. Watching this drama has been such a great experience and I really hope there will be more like it in the future. It’s a bit sad that it’s over.
For new watchers, in case anyone’s interested, C-drama Reddit users have been having some really engaging discussions about this drama. From what I’ve read, they really like it as almost 200–400 comments for every two episodes which is a good sign since it shows the plot gives them plenty to talk about! Reddit users are usually hard to please, they often pick apart tiny details and rant about them but they seem genuinely impressed with Fated Hearts.
They discuss the plot in such detail that I even had to go back and rewatch some scenes! It’s been a great experience but a word of warning-make sure you finish watching the episodes before reading the comments unless you don’t mind getting spoiled that choice is up to you.
Here’s the link for the discussion on episodes 33–38 but this page also contains links to discussions for every two episodes from EP 1–32.

They are definitely being recognized by the industry for their strong performances and the rave reviews they’ve received for their acting. Especially CZY, CCTV and major media outlets have interviewed him and praised his acting skills in this drama which is great for him since he hasn’t done much historical drama in the past. I looked up his next two historical dramas are still political-themed but feature different characters and I’m really looking forward to them. I also hope he gets more historical dramas in the future maybe even a xianxia one.

Yes, that’s correct. In terms of investment, producing an S+ drama with high marketing requires much more money than an A-level drama with little or no marketing. After airing, the classification is based on the results, an S+ drama achieving S+ status and a high heat index is expected. For an A-level drama to reach S+ classification with a strong heat index is considered a success, it has over-performed, that is great for the investors. Not to mention, this drama is based on a relatively unknown novel, so it wasn’t a big IP from the start.
Is no one gonna talk about how The fighting choreography wow literally how good the fight of ML and FL is they…
I totally love it! They not only did an excellent job producing a drama with such an immersive storyline but the fight scenes were also really well done. I love how FYX handles her bow and arrow with such skill and how FSG doesn’t just rely on his sword, his punches and kicks are incredibly strong and powerful. Thumbs up to whoever was in charge of the fight choreography!
Fated Hearts is a drama I’ve truly enjoyed every single episode without skipping a single scene. It doesn’t just focus on the main couple but also gives meaningful depth to many supporting characters. The writing helps us understand why each character makes their choices and shows the consequences of those actions which makes the whole story feel so satisfying and complete. The pacing is great…no unnecessary dragging and there’s always a major plot development in almost every episode. I just can’t sit still while watching! I find myself completely immersed in their stories, cheering for them, crying with them, cursing the villains for their evil deeds, blushing during the romantic moments and laughing a lot thanks to Lu Ke (I really adore this guy!). Actually, all of the male lead’s guards are so likable, they’re loyal, funny, smart, skilled fighters and even shippers! lol What’s not to love about them? LQ perfectly embodies the female general with her strong aura and screen presence, no wonder she’s such a talented and experienced actress. I also never expected CZY, with his soft and pretty face to pull off the role of a ruthless prince so convincingly. I’m truly impressed…he nailed it! Plus, he dubbed his own voice in this historical drama which shows just how dedicated he is to his acting..Voice acting takes a lot of time and effort and he absolutely did an excellent job.
Does anyone know of IQIYI heat index score went up from 9100? I do not kkow where to find current score.
The drama has already finished airing, so its heat index will no longer go up. I read somewhere that it had an A-level budget and was later classified as an S+ drama after airing, with a heat index of 9,100 on iQiyi which is actually quite good considering the investment, the lack of publicity and the fact that it wasn’t produced by iQiyi but merely broadcast on their platform. Some Chinese viewers even found it suspicious that the heat index stopped increasing after 8 PM each day unlike other dramas on iQiyi which typically continue to rise throughout the evening. Personally, I think it’s much harder for a drama to reach 10,000 on iQiyi compared to the other two major platforms, since each platform uses different criteria to calculate the heat index.
FH is truly an excellent drama that many Chinese audiences overlooked because they assumed it would be just another female general story. In my opinion, airing it right after two similar dramas was not the best decision by iQiyi. However, those who did watch it praised the performances of all the actors (except for the second male lead though I personally like him, at least he’s handsome to look at lol) as well as the director and production team for doing such a great job.
From my point of view, since this is the drama’s discussion page, it might be better to set aside issues related to the actors and focus on the story itself. I’m not here to judge what’s right or wrong, but personally, I come to this space hoping to read thoughts and discussions about the drama, not topics like actor controversies, complaint about heat indexes, or MDL ratings. Those things shouldn’t be used to discourage new viewers from giving the drama a chance. We can’t control everything that happens outside the drama, but we can help keep this thread lively and welcoming by sharing fair and positive reviews or comments about the show. There’s also no need to compare it to other dramas. Each one has its own charm, and viewers can enjoy many dramas at the same time
Ridiculous plot? Did you read a review that this drama is about a husband cheating on his wife? Dear, that reviewer…
Thank you so much 😊 I feel better now and I don’t care about the rating. You are right! WXY acting is always good, I love the investigation drama. Start watching now.
haters, fans of Coroner's Diary, fans of the Double'sFL.
Why do they hate this drama? I don’t get it. 😭There is no related and has nothing against each other, right? CD is already finished before this drama start. And why double FL fans hate this? It aired since last year they should move on. I also like the drama and double couple but it doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the other drama.
I am a bit scared to start watching this drama as I have seen many review comments about ridiculous plot. But I like wxy since the double, so I will give it a try. Just want to ask, does the plot get better in the later episodes?
