I think that at the end of ep 10, they reference Parasite with Haeng Ja knocking at Sun Woo's door all wet and squid Game with all the characters embarking in the minivan. I wonder if they nod at other k-dramas and movies too in previous eps (a side from the j-drama).

I haven't watched ep 12 yet. I think that his character was killed (by the writers) so that there is more plot in season 2 + Poong and Eun Woo going to Hanyang, his character is no longer necessary.
