I am relieved to find that I am not the only one who found this drama to be mediocre. It began quite well and enticing. But all too soon, it was obvious that the writers hadn't thought through the plot or character development very well. I found myself confused and ultimately disappointed. The purpose of the drama seems to be merely to showcase the lead female's stunning beauty, because the story falls flat on its face. There's no point to any of it, and I was left wondering in a disinterested sort of way, "So, is she a psychopath, or a malignant narcissist surrounded by other narcissists [the answer to that is, actually, yes], or what? Do I care? Not really."

omg i think you are the first to say this HAHAH
I know. I don't know what I'm missing. Maybe it's because I work in a hospital. I guess I just don't like action. To each their own. :)

Where are episodes 7 and 8 available to watch? They have disappeared from every site available in the US. The series skips from episode 6 to 9. Please help!

This may well be an "inspirational" drama that motivates reflection and soul-searching, but I'm not about to give myself a coronary! I made it to episode 2 completely unaware that this was a horror drama. Nope! A thousand times NOPE!

I'm not sure why the ratings for this are so mediocre. I've made it to episode 9 and think that it is one of the better dramas of the year (which, considering the dearth of decent 2024 dramas, isn't saying all that much). Many have complained that it's boring and that the pace is slow, but I think that it's perfect. The writing and characters are superb, and the pace suits the theme of discerning truth and parental loyalty. The writers wove the idea of how far a parent will go to defend their children whether they doubt or are convinced that they are innocent/guilty. It's a fascinating topic, and I truly enjoyed the avoidance of constant action and violence, or a frenetic pace to keep the audience entertained. I'm, frankly, sick to death of the noise, gore, and meaningless movement that has captivated K-dramas (imo, okay, so don't lose it, please!). I highly recommend this thought-provoking, well-produced, and captivating drama.

This drama was excellent...up until about episode 6, and then it felt like I was on a roller coaster with break issues. Things would drag, and then speed up, and then there'd be continuity issues, and then there'd be a twist that felt more desperate than natural. The writers focused too much on one facet without developing the other in a seamless way. Perhaps they bit off more than they could chew, but I think it was just a matter of developing both plots simultaneously. From episode 6 on, the story and characters became increasingly inconsistent and the ending was...quaint. Anyway, I was really impressed by Go Jun and most of the supporting cast. I hope to see him in more dramas.

I really enjoyed this drama. It was refreshing, lighthearted, humorous, and fun. The final episode was a bit hodgepodge and disappointing, but overall, the series kept me coming back for more. I hope that the drama world continues to produce more dramas like this featuring simple stories and actors from diverse age groups. The world needs a break from the violence, darkness, and grittiness that characterize so many of the more popular dramas being made now (imo).

Licentiousness? What about sanctimony, hysteria, pearl clutching and acting a poster child Karen?
I truly don't understand what I have said that has upset you so intensely, let alone to merit your name-calling.
By "draconian" measures to keep drugs and alcohol out of schools, I assume you mean simply laws against drug and alcohol use? Have you paid any attention to how legalizing and almost encouraging their use has done? Are things better? Have you seen the streets of any major US city? Without laws, there is disorder, crime, and chaos. People may choose to break the law, but society becomes complicit in criminal behavior when it wipes away its laws against them.

If it is sanctimonious, hysterical, and a clutching of pearls to condemn drug use and praise government, however imperfect and potentially hypocritical, for coming down hard on it, then I guess that's what I am. Alcoholism and drug use are the same thing and both should be condemned, but to say that one should be allowed because the other is, is simply foolishness.

A) your neighbors don't harm you with their use of pot, so it's not your businessB) your assertion that there's…
If you'd bother to do a modicum of research, you'd feel very foolish about what you just wrote. I live in a town where violence, homelessness, motor vehicle accidents (of course it's illegal, but people still do it!), and domestic violence have risen drastically, and this rise directly correlates to the legalization of marijuana. My neighbors are outside smoking pot in excess of 11 times a day. I have kids and grandkids that I watch who are being exposed to secondhand smoke, which is known to present as many, if not more health risks than tobacco smoke. Do your own research before making such baseless, ignorant claims.

Alcoholism is RAMPANT in South Korea. Seriously. Statistically, most of the country is alcoholics. Why aren't…
So, what you're saying is that Korea should not crack down on drugs because it is lenient toward alcohol? That's throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Hypocrisy is not all right. Alcoholism is utterly destructive and abominable; I hate alcohol, and I hate that it so accepted, even praised by so many cultures. But that is no reason to conclude that allowing other drugs will not lead to equal, if not far worse consequences. I am glad that Korea is hard on drugs. It is tragic and infuriating that they do not see alcohol use the same way.

I'd also encourage you to research the neurological, as well as biological effects of marijuana use, particularly in teens. Please know, I think that alcoholism is wrong, and that it leads largely to deplorable behaviors. As someone in the medical field, I have seen what alcohol, pot, and other addictive drugs do to people, and none of it is pretty. None of it.

I agree with you, but it's perhaps easier to nip this in the bud before it becomes as widespread as alcohol acceptance. Can you imagine trying to outlaw soju in Korea? There'd be widespread riots! It is hypocritical, but that doesn't mean that they should just throw up their hands and allow drugs to flow freely into the country; that would be foolish and very, very dangerous. Just look at the US.
