Korean society is too ageist. Why can't a 40 year old (who looks 35) do rom coms? With the right script and setting, I am sure she can still do a convincing rom com and be lovely to boot and shine in her own way. I mean if Jeon Do Yeon who is 50 could do Crash Course in Romance, why not Inna. And totally agree, she is so beloved as the iconic Oh Jinshim in Touch Your Heart. No one else could have played the role but her.

She definitely can do dramatic roles as seen in Snowdrop and Goblin. She did well in Spies Who Loved Me too, and her movie New Year Blues which were not purely love stories. I pray that she will get more dramatic roles which is what she wants too. I hope writers and directors coming knocking on her door after they see how she has excelled in Bora Deborah. She said she is looking at scripts now so it means the offers are coming in, yay

Me too, the middle was best for me, starting from when she got over the ex and took herself to the publishing company to re-negotiate the book deal. Those episodes were so fun. Then it started to go flat from episode 12 to the end. But overall a good watch,

Thank you for saying it. She has a wealth of talent which is not recognized enough. I love her in Goblin and Snowdrop, she was strong yet so vulnerable in these 2 roles. Viewers who like her with Sojin (Yu Jeong here) can catch them in the spies who loved me, which was a fun spy drama. And of course who can forget her as the spirited and lovely Jinshim in Touch Your Heart.

I have to agree. He was eating her face too much in both kisses. He was trying to make it a “passionate” kiss I guess but I did not feel it. Too much mouth action and no feels. Just a textbook kiss and the way his arms moved to grasp her back was awkward; he was kind of shoving her arms apart so he could reach her back.

Not if the lovey dovey entails Soohyuk acting like a 15 year old squealing cutesy lovesick schoolboy. Gosh that scene where he had to do that was so out of place and out of character I don’t know what the writer and director were thinking. It was so cringey, off putting and unnecessary.

Soohyuk is not my favorite male lead character; he is too passive. He had so many chances actually to tell Bora he liked her but he didn't take them. He was so defeatist when the ex showed up and I got really frustrated with him. I didn't like that Bora took so long to tell the ex off, and there were instances where she looked like she was going to be swayed by him. It should have been a no brainer for her. I hated the Sangin/Uri trope; it felt very forced. I am not optimistic about all the side couples and whether they will last but I guess that is why divorce rates are on the rise everywhere. But otherwise it was a great drama, with top notch acting. It was very realistic in showing various relationships and how flawed even good people are.

He definitely had more chemistry with the ex wife. I would have preferred if they had gotten back together. He and the young girl are a big no, felt so forced

I am nit picking here I know but that ring he got her was quite unimpressive. He should have gotten a bigger rock like the one she wanted at the store originally.

Agree with 1. Didn’t he already have his closure with his ex when he attended her wedding? To me he’s just weak and indecisive and I hate that in a male lead in a rom com of all things.

And after 13 episodes, Ji hoo and his wife are still at a stalemate? I was hoping this arc could show what happens to married couples who are stuck in a rut. I’m disappointed that there was no development for this couple.

On the whole there seems to be a lot of push and pull amongst the couples in this drama that often goes nowhere. Or it’s one step forward and two steps back. I get that this mimics real life but I watch dramas for entertainment and some escapism, not to be reminded that real life looks the same lol.

I so agree with you. Writer is mocking every tired trope out there. But then perhaps the drama should not have been labeled a rom com. People watch a rom com for a specific reason, to enjoy a true blue romance and to be slapped with such a plot twist in the penultimate episode is a bit harsh. I’m expecting a lot of negative comments, not to mention the ratings will likely take a hit too, as if the ratings were already not bad enough, urrgh.

She’s becoming a really seasoned actress. She’s never annoying whatever the role, which is something few actresses can achieve.

While I’m enjoying the drama and appreciating the writing and solid acting, I can understand why ratings are low. You have to be very into the psychology of relationships to appreciate this drama. It is very dialogue heavy so you have to focus to get certain innuendo and there are practically no side plots to change things up.
