Why does this have a low rating? I just finished ep 1 and it seems promising.
Viewer rating is unfortunately low but popularity rating is not bad. It’s ranked 6th for top drama topic in Korea

Loved ep 4 too. So emotionally charged. Bora’s downfall was so spectacular. And I loved the scenes after when she wandered around by herself; she looked so vulnerable listening to the street busker and then had the major meltdown on the bus. This is so real . I also like that every character is flawed esp the 2 main leads. No rose tinted glasses.

I honestly feel a bunch hater’s rated it. Because so far it’s been a very solid drama even if it isn’t your…
Agree it’s very solid so far. The story is realistic, the writing fluid and the pacing good. I don’t see gaping loopholes in the story so far and the characters are showing their good and weak points (well except for that scum of a bf or ex bf as we speak who is nothing but scum). The acting has been top notch too. Yoo Inna never disappoints; she is the whole package - beautiful, sexy, talented, cute and not annoying in her mannerisms.

Because she has created an image of herself that is not real. Her professional and personal pride and the years…
Fair point. We will see an improved version of Bora when she moves on from this man. They were probably setting the stage for the audience to see that the perfect image she had built for herself was tenuous and fake.

this is so realistic, the writer probably went through a lot in her own life
Yes. This is the type of confusion, pain and torment that you can realistically write about without cliches only when you’ve had some painful experiences in life

I thought I'd hate Hwang Chan Sang's character! But till now I couldn't hate him! Yeah Ik he did cheat on BoRa…
He doesn’t care for her at all. He’s a total scumbag. He came to see her merely to assuage his own guilt. He gaslighted her from the moment she caught him cheating. He was selfish and arrogant from the first episode. He totally belongs in that garbage truck

Episode 3 annoyed me tbh. How are you a dating coach and handling things this pathetically
Because she has created an image of herself that is not real. Her professional and personal pride and the years she invested in this man did not allow her to just walk away. This whole episode was very realistic actually. When faced with betrayal you just keep hoping that you can go back to how things were before. And she was hoping that he would do something to redeem himself so that she could continue with her perfect life. She was even prepared to forgive him for the affair because she had so much at stake. The acting from both of them was perfect here. Her response at the betrayal, her anguish at finally facing the truth, it was all perfectly nuanced with no dramatics or overacting.
