الفيلم مبني على قصة حقيقية ويصور معركة "ميونغنيانغ" التي وقعت في 26 اکتوبر 1597.
وهي أكبر معركة كورية - يابانية ويشارك بها الأدميرال "يي سن شن" الذي حصل فقط على 12 سفينة تحت قيادته، ضد الأسطول الياباني الذي كان أكثر من مئة سفينة.
"يي سن شن" هو قائد بحري كوري لم يحصل على تدريب مسبق في البحرية كما انه لم يدخل في معارك حربية مسبقة، وبقي دائماً بعدد قليل من السفن إلا أنه كان أحد القادة البحريين في تاريخ العالم الذي مات ولم يهزم أبدأ رغم العدد الكبير من المعارك البحرية التي قادها (23 معركة على الأقل).
It's so upsetting. I have to let go of this drama now. It's such a good drama and I couldn't stop watching it. And now I'm sad I have to let it go... I'm just happy that all of them got a happy ending, especially Gyu-Jin and Na-Hee. Their love for each other was so pure. Jae-Seok and Da-Hee were too adorable. Lastly, Ga-Hee and Hyo-Sin. Such an amazing couple. I'm gonna miss all of them.
What a great ending, so many life lessons. This show is really realistic. It isn’t just all about parents. it is also about children because they will be the ones that will be hurt in every decision that the parents make.
In this show I felt like everything's real. It's like watching a reality show. It gives you knowledge about what is happening behind the screen..
My favorite actors are "PD Tak Ye Jin" and "PD Baek Seung Chan" and the thing that happened between them in the end was rational, cause "PD Baek Seung Chan" still young and he has to discover and learn more about life..
