‘88 was the best - I actually couldn’t make it through the other ones. And in my opinion, the two leads ended up with the right people, unlike what so many other folks say (it was SO obvious almost from the start who she liked and why, I don’t get why some folks couldn’t see it.)
But Reply 1988, even with all the yelling, was absolutely brilliantly written and acted. And the soundtrack was 💯

The ML didn't have a choice in marrying the second woman, it was literally forced on them both. He didn't want to and worked to get out of it until the day they divorced.

I think you're overthinking this. It's just acting and they're all professionals. Plus there's plenty of eye contact everywhere.

I’ve seen great kissing scenes in C-dramas lately. Maid’s Revenge, for just one example. (There are more.)

I disagree (I thought he was excellent in Fireworks of My Heart) but to each their own, He just must not be for you then, which is fine.
