This guy is KimuTaku caliber, idk why he decide to do more in Hong Kong than in Japan.
I've never heard him act in Japanese, I've only watched his Mandarin-language films, (because he's Taiwanese as well as Japanese, as we know.) I'm going to see if I can find some of his Japanese-language dramas.
House of Flying Daggers needs to be on this list somewhere (which means more people need to see it!) It might be my favorite Mandarin-language film. Thanks for the article - I've got a lot of catching up to do!
Yay! Someone else enjoying this! :D People are extra harsh on this drama for some reason...I don't get it really.…
I think people get bored too quickly right now, and don't have the patience to stick with a story that takes more than a few episodes to unfold. Also, I love romance - I really do - but for some folks on here if you don't have certain kinds of romantic scenes happening within the first ten episodes they're publicly declaring that they're dropping it for "lack of chemistry." I mean, I'm excited for the leads to get together too, but there's other stuff going on within the drama right now, and I'm liking seeing it come together so far.
I'm really liking this so far! I love the mystery element and the mystery-solving "gadgets", per se, which also seem to be at least somewhat historically accurate (the tabletop that the CP secretly opened was just cool). I'm not sure what folks are complaining about - the drama is progressing nicely, the acting and writing are interesting but not telegraphing things too quickly or easily, and the romance is steadily moving ahead.
This was so terrible. ML not hot, FL not hot, zero spice. On top of that, it was one of those dramas that's having…
I mean, you're entitled to your opinion, (and I happen to think that the ML is gorgeous), but does a leading character have to be "hot" in order for you to like the drama?

And I had the BIGGEST crush on Kaneshiro Takeshi when I was younger. ...{Swoon}...
