I think people get bored too quickly right now, and don't have the patience to stick with a story that takes more than a few episodes to unfold. Also, I love romance - I really do - but for some folks on here if you don't have certain kinds of romantic scenes happening within the first ten episodes they're publicly declaring that they're dropping it for "lack of chemistry." I mean, I'm excited for the leads to get together too, but there's other stuff going on within the drama right now, and I'm liking seeing it come together so far.
I'm really liking this so far! I love the mystery element and the mystery-solving "gadgets", per se, which also seem to be at least somewhat historically accurate (the tabletop that the CP secretly opened was just cool). I'm not sure what folks are complaining about - the drama is progressing nicely, the acting and writing are interesting but not telegraphing things too quickly or easily, and the romance is steadily moving ahead.

And - news flash - a lot of people outside of our country see our news and entertainment systems and think that they speak for all 330 million of us. Well, they most certainly do not. Also, I never said that we need to be admired, in fact I said that I wasn't patriotic but you went too far. You said that I went to insults right away but you said that no one likes or respects Americans and that we're all Karens and then you listed a bunch of reasons why France is supposedly better than the US. (I know other French folks who would say a lot different than you about many of those things but hey, I can actually see nuance in whole countries that consist of millions of people!) Some of us in this country have been fighting for the very things that you claim that France has gotten figured out (like by the way, France only legalized gay marriage two whole years before the US did and you also have a lot of racial and religious issues even if you're acting like you don't - Marine Le Pen, anyone?)
But what bugs me much more than all of this is you continuing to act like you can speak for Koreans and what they're thinking and feeling because you've read some articles and watched some dramas. Hey, maybe you've even watched some of Seung Gi's interviews and reality shows. But. you're. not. Korean. You're not Korean, you're French. So please stop acting like you know so much more than the rest of us about this or any other issue.
(Oh, and btw, I couldn't care less that you went to law school in the UK.....also Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty and is now in prison, so they aren't allegations anymore - they were proven to be true in our courts and he's going to rot in prison for the rest of his miserable life, thank goodness.)

They made news because they are abusive and violent, or they broke laws for which they are going to prison, or they are liars and/or terrible people (any Kardashian, Ellen, etc, etc, etc.). Criminals and terrible people make news in all countries, especially when they're celebrities.

You should give it a try. Ep 5 and 6 are in kioyi pov and will literally change you.
And there are many of us trying to say that if you drop it at ep. 3 because you think the drama is something that it's not, then you're missing out. And if you rate this at a 5/10 because of the first three episodes and then don't bother to watch the rest, then that would explain why this frickin' awesome drama is rated so low when it should be way higher.
Make sure you watch some reality shows about parents going to any length to make sure their children become stars if you doubt that this shit could have some basis in reality. Folks going to jail left and right over illegal activities so their kids get into the best colleges and become stars, deserving or not.
