Actually, other sources count Iran and Afghanistan as being at the top for drug addiction and drug manufacturing and trafficking. So, there's that.
The UN says that cannabis is the most used substance worldwide, with almost 200 million people using it worldwide - so, not just in the US.

Also, cannabis is now legal in much of the US, and with some of the most barbaric of the laws gone now, the arrests for possession and usage have steeply declined.
Keep in mind that we've got 330,000,000 people in the country, so one million people getting arrested for illegal substances in a country of 330 million isn't that statistically interesting, actually.

Are you saying that he's an addict? I think you're making a leap here, even if I can understand the point you're ultimately trying to make.
Also, I'm not disputing your life experience (I live in the US which is the epicenter of the opioid catastrophe and there have been so many lives lost here) but not everyone is the same. And just because it's illegal in a country doesn't mean that it should be. Marrying someone of your same gender is illegal in many countries and it absolutely should not be. Being able to use MJ for insomnia and pain management shouldn't be illegal either.

That's crazy!! They probably got too impatient and didn't try to actually understand the characters or why they acted the way they did. Their loss...except then they rated this truly excellent drama a low number that is just insulting

Other sources translate that into "creepy" instead of "disgusting" which actually makes more sense. But that scene is *chef's kiss* regardless of wording

Huh? Our names sound the same and we write the same way? We're not the same person. I'm a middle-aged mother from the US and I wouldn't even think of having multiple accounts on here - I don't have enough time to manage the one fully, much less more than one. But ok then, since this conversation is going nowhere fast, see ya. By not being willing to even entertain the idea that there are outliers in every field you missed my original point by a mile. I never said doctors weren't good at math, (because of course they are) I said some (that I know) sometimes weren't great at SIMPLE math, because there are calculators (and nurses) for that.
But you go on with your rock-solid opinions that never give an inch. Have fun with that.

Excuse me, you didn’t need to write a book in return to my one sentence comment (that was off-handed) and you don’t know all the doctors in the world either. Also your comment is unnecessarily petty

Actually you don’t always need to know how to do basic math if you’re a doctor - there are calculators and the math they learn is on a different level and using a different kinds of “intelligence”, so to speak.
