just finished binging on this drama, didn't find it boring - BUT(!) this could've been good considering we get…
Reading your comments after every episode I felt like we watched very different dramas. I disagree with maybe everything you just said here (and after every episode, to be honest) - and I know that's ok - but it just shows again how we could watch the same drama and come to completely different perspectives about it.
Hi Popcxqueen, thank you for sharing your personal thoughts on the drama. My rating and points for Horimiya did…
I stumbled back onto this review, and just read again what I wrote a year ago - I realize now that it was kind of mean. I would respond differently to your review now, (even if I still disagree with your rating), and I do apologize.
10 out of 10 for me. I don't know why it rated so low here
i thought the opposite, actually. Normally J-dramas are almost always rated in the 7's here for whatever reason and I was thrilled to see that this actually had higher ratings
I think it's the opposite. People who react so excessively to his harmless remark are very conservative.
I won't get over it, so stop demanding that. Just because his co-star(s) haven't publicly complained (yet), does not mean that they aren't angry and upset about his comments - they just don't feel safe or comfortable talking about it publicly. He's so popular (as your defensive comments attest) and the actors could get all kinds of hate online (which has happened before.) And I guess I knew that there would be stans who refuse to see how problematic their oppas are, but it's annoying nonetheless. I never said he wasn't a great actor - he is - or that he hasn't been in some amazing dramas - he has - but his public remarks make him anything but clean as a whistle and if this is what he says in public, I hate to think about what he might say to women (or anyone else) in private.
And you get a big LOL!! for saying that because I hate when men body-shame women that I'm the bigot. Priceless.

I am about as far from conservative as you can get, and I think he's a misogynist and a dick for publicly body-shaming his costars. People who keep defending his public remarks might be part of the problem...
Please don't judge him by that interview mentioned in the comments. He is a good actor and we all know that and…
We don't "all" know that he didn't mean those words. He said them -publicly - and hasn't retracted them. He is indeed a great actor, but he seems like he's kind of a prick in real life.
oh damn, I just marked it as a spoiler. can you tell me what it is? because I have no idea
You know what, I made a mistake...but it's actually better this way because it's what happens when I see something that I think is a spoiler (but this actually isn't.) While skimming your review, at the end I saw "Oh, and Yagi Yusei's character is killed trying to help the FL. He went out a stalker hero..." and immediately stopped reading because I thought the drama had just been spoiled, and that's when I wrote your comment. (And I didn't want to read any more because I didn't want to get any more spoiled.) But upon seeing your response I went back over your review and just realized that it wasn't actually a spoiler, it was you rewriting the plot. LOL So my apologies for saying that you had a spoiler when you hadn't!
Netflix ruined Kdrama rhythm for the past 4-5 years and even Korean networks started adapting that. Give me back…
Not everyone liked the old 16-20 episode pattern - often way too much filler. Some of us very much like these new ways of making dramas, and I for one hope they continue
