Review Horimiya
I don't agree with this review at all, and especially not what you said about the two main characters. To each their own, of course, but this drama deserves a much higher rating than 5.5 and especially for those of us who didn't read the manga or watch the anime, the casting was excellent.

Title Horimiya
The ratings on the reviews don't do justice to this drama. Just watch it.
AGREED!! I loved it.

Title Given
Having never seen the anime, or read the manga, I loved this. And I disagree 100% (and more if I could) with the commenters below who said that Suzuki Jin's acting was disappointing in this. On the contrary, that young man is a freaking star in the making, and this drama helps to confirm that. His eyes, his facial expressions, the way he tightens up his chest and shoulders, the realizations that pass from inner monologues to outward expressions - all of it was authentic, with not a false note in sight. (Btw, for anyone who might need to hear this - anxiety can cause involuntary eye and facial twitches and for as much as Ue seemed to be on the verge of panic throughout the entire drama, it makes perfect sense that he would be a little twitchy at times.)

I'll add some more thoughts in my review.

This might be the sweetest and most pure drama I've ever seen. I loved it from beginning to end.

true, better for you to stick to your rom coms and romances with the same 5 tropes.
It DOES match the world we live in - that's why we like it. It helps explain the shitty nature of the world using fantastical elements. Yes, please stick to whatever you like, and give those of us who like what we like a break from your negative comments every once in a while.

I will watch Son Ye Jin cause I'm a fan ( I'll stop if it's bad though) other than that nothing exciting. Zombie,…
Some of us love dystopian scenarios, fantasy and science fiction. I also love romance and mysteries but there's a very rich tradition of making meaning out of past and current events and circumstances through dystopian novels, films, and dramas.
We don't all have to like the same things, thank goodness, but many of us need that kind of storytelling and characterization sometimes. You won't watch any of it, obviously, so why all of the negativity? Just let it be and watch what you want to watch.

YES!! You should post this comment over on the Squid Game article. MDL should just change its name to "Bitch About Netflix All the Fucking Time" since that seems to be all the comments are about anymore.

Have you seen all of the ones I listed? I'm just curious. And if so, did you have the same reaction?

Reply 1988 made me ugly cry because it was so beautifully written, and so touching, and so real.
