Given how Netflix likes to milk content, I wouldn't be surprised if they do a 3rd season (Since there is a sequel to the manga, why not?). Not that it matters in the end...

And although you are right about the tea scene in the series, it was the explanation given in the manga. I just wanted to explain it for people who were confused

In the manga, it's explained that there were hallucinogens in the tea.
And yes, the ending hints at a season 3.

It was not in their heads. See it more like that: Borderland is where people who are clinically dead or have a near-death experience arrive. They play the games for the chance to return to the real world or to become a citizen of Borderland. If they fail, they die in the real world. If they succeed in returning, they have no memory of the Borderland (Although at the end, we see Usagi and Arisu talking to each other as if they knew each other, which means that they still have some kind of memory of what happened...).

The Joker is definitely here to suggest a third season.
