Regarding their past life, I've read some chapters of the novel & I think the relationship between JXN, XW, & YL is too complicated... XW had a deep hate towards YL because of what happened with JXN, the only thing that keep his sanity from killing YL is because they share the same blood... So I'm really satisfied seeing the big change of both XW & YL character on their present life, and how strong their bonds now, all for a better future π₯²β€οΈ

Dowager empress is also a heartless person,,, I just wish that in the drama we will witness a scene where Xue Yuan finally know that Xie Wei is his son, and in fact, he feels remorse over the accident,, this will add more dramatic feeling to the story... but i feel skeptical since the writer makes Xue Yuan looks like 100% bad character.. I just need a twist in the story coz I always like main villain with complicated background story π₯²

It's kinda tragic to have evil dad who's still alive & sincere mom whom he would never met again... I feel so emotional watching the scene where Xie Wei confront his biologic dad to protect his uncle & cousin,, how come he has a father who's willing to sacrifice his own son just to please the emperor?
