Yuan Zhong’s like a ticking time bomb, ready to blow everything up once he gets all the spirit weapons. After everything he’s been through in the last 60 years, the abuse and injustice, it’s no wonder he's one step away from becoming a demon. JTY could’ve stopped him if she’d just been more understanding and sympathetic, but instead, she doubted him. This is why Yuan Zhong was delaying or trying to prevent Xiu from growing because if Xiu grew stronger, Yuan Zhong's plan to destroy the world will proceed. 😁

JTY basically pushed him to become a demon. He was hoping that she would stop him, but she chose to believe the war demon instead. Anyway, it’s pointless to discuss this since the story is clearly heading in that direction, as shown in the preview. Let’s just enjoy the few remaining episodes and be entertained. 😁
