I do love Run Yu and sympathize for him, for all he has gone through since childhood. But he clearly took advantage of Jin Mi's cluelessness to force her to marry him. And I sometimes felt like he loved her only because he thought that since his brother got all the good things since childhood, he might as well have the girl. And giving up wasn't only up to Xu Feng cuz Jin Mi isn't an object and she clearly loved Xu Feng over Run Yu.
