Omg the synopsis and all the tags make this one sound like the most lakorn-est lakorns out of all the lakorns! I'm tempted to watch this just to see all the insanity that it brings!

I still can't believe this show was aired in 2016/2017, it looks like it's 15 years older (I could have…
I just got done watching the show and I completely agree with you! I didn't get the big deal about Bank. I mean he was cute, but not like in a "wow he's very attractive" way. More like in a literally "wow that person has an adorable, almost child like face" lol. Golf was also literally the one reason I made it through the show. His character was the only interesting one in the whole show and the actor himself is straight up eye candy. I also hope for a season 2, if only because there is potential in the story if they can fix the glaring errors. But if season 2 is just as bad as season 1 then that would just be an incredible let down!

Meh. This one is okay. The leads are cute, their scenes are passable, and in general they have good chemistry. I mean it's not the best BL but it's not the worst. If you're into BLs you'll be able to get through this. It helps that there aren't a lot of episodes. Give it a shot, at the least. It's good to pass the time.

the acting and the plot are the worsteven for a thai bl drama
Agreed on the plot. I started this one with such high hopes but the last 3 or 4 episodes I forwarded through scenes that didn't involve the main couple. The acting is average - not the worst, not the best. But I agree with others in that the chemistry between the actors is undeniable, and I appreciate that they did all the BL scenes naturally and didn't look uncomfortable at all. I think that's what's contributing to the high ratings. It's definitely refreshing to see Thai bl dramas with actors that are willing to make the bl scenes seem so realistic.

But yeah. The plot definitely needed more work. XD

Oh bless my poor heart and soul.

Just based on the summary this drama's gonna hit every lakorn cliche known to mankind. But damn them for casting Ken and damn them for making him evil.

Now I'm basically forced to watch. And it's so rare that I wanna watch a lakorn while it's still airing yet here I am, tempting the gods. I'm so gonna regret binging the first few episodes that have aired.

Yet here I go! Curse Ken and his beautiful face!! JK DRAMA GODS PLS DON'T CURSE KEN.

*sigh*

This drama is not that bad. It just needs a few warning signs displayed at the beginning so people know what is coming up and can decide if they will be able to handle it or not. The warning signs should mainly be about rape or abuse, of course.

But I'm not going to deter people from watching this entirely. Do I think young people (mainly the ages of 13-18) should watch this? Probably not. The show does make it seem like it's okay to stay with a person even after they've hurt you physically.

That being said, if you're an adult and are able to differentiate a fictional drama from reality (and can put aside the logical and rational side of your brain for a while) then there are a few things to note in the show:
-despite all the drama, the main pair do have INSANE chemistry
-there is a larger bad boy redemption arc
-the main lead isn't psychotic (this isn't a psychological thriller, for God's sake); he's just an a**hole, but he suffers at the end and tries to make up for it (emphasis on TRY)
-Push (the main actor) is attractive. That's it. Point blank.
-in the larger scope of U Prince series, after watching all the others, this one is still the most memorable to me. and I would still re-watch it first.

So. There you go. Make up your mind and decide on your own whether you wanna check this out or not.

Title SOTUS
Ok, maybe I'm complaining a *BIT* too early (I'm on ep. 11), but aside from the: good production quality and solid…
Dude. Omg same!! I'm SO glad someone else felt the same way. I was literally in the same boat. I watched all the other popular BLs, not just Thai but Taiwanese and Chinese (Addicted, Together with Me, Bad Romance, Counterattack, etc.). And everyone would comment that SOTUS is sooo incredible. So maybe the expectations were too high. But yes the production quality and acting and tone of the whole series is a notch above all the ones I mentioned before.

However, in terms of actual BL or relationship or romance or even relationship development, I didn't see much of it. So I failed to understand what the hype was about! It was a well made, well written story. Yeah they spent a lot of time on the hazing. But nothing stood out to me besides probably the acting, and that too of just the leads. I just think they spent a little more time than necessary drawing out the relationship and the build up and the pay off (so far) hasn't been that grand. I guess season .2 will have more in store? Here's hoping!

Lee Sung Kyung played crazy very well will YIY be able to do just as good. The cast from the tv drama did a outstanding…
LSK killed it as Baek In Ha. I loved to hate her! I will say this though - the actress playing Baek In Ha in the movie is the same annoying "evil" second female lead from Oh My Venus. And I enjoyed her as well so I have hope that she'll do Baek In Ha justice. though I don't think she'll come close to LSK.

That was fast! This is on Netflix in U.S. now.
Right?! I logged onto my account this morning and was like wth. Why is this here? I thought it just ended? It's pretty smart to put it on Netflix right now though. Like I was hesitating watching this drama but now that it's on Netflix I feel like I'll randomly hit play on a boring Saturday and probably binge it if it keeps my interest even a little. Also SSH's face and dimples typically DO keep my interest so yeah. :D

Believe the hype for this drama. Starts off a bit slow but I'd say at about the 5th or 6th episode it starts to pick up and then consistently keeps you hooked. Honestly there was never a dull moment nor did I feel like I was bored. At times the female character can seem kinda annoyingly trustworthy but trust me, when she finds out the truth the payoff is worth it. All in all this is pretty entertaining. Flaws are minimal, romance is good, story is interesting, and the actors are easy on the eyes.

Oh and yes, you'll be humming the songs randomly throughout your day. ;)
