I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like Van is just protecting himself from love. I’m not saying cheating is right, but I’m assuming Van’s parents died at such a young age, so to him love eventually leaves, which is why he leaves love first so it doesn’t hurt like it did before. Being a player may be the only way to feel love without getting too attached and losing his partner like he did his parents. This is just my theory of course, and I guess you can believe what you want, but I kind of think that’s what’s happening.
Oh and he’s feeling guilty because he truly loves Farm, but he doesn’t know how to show it without getting hurt or too attached. Of course it’s hurting Farm unintentionally, but I feel like he assuming his way of feeling love is the same for everyone.
