Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
Can a novel reader give me a spoiler on ChangNing? an estimated timeline for it would be great.
Looking at the trailers, the drama is slightly different from the events in the novel. When Sui Yanqing raided the village, he couldn't take Changning since FCY fought him and lured him away but he got the portrait. He thought Changing was their daughter. Before FCY returned, the village survivors were staying at some outpost, Yanqing kidnapped Changning from there. He tried to blackmail XZ to give up the battle they were about to fight in Chongzhou but XZ managed to save Changning on the battlefield and captured Sui Yanqing. FCY doesn't reunite with them until after this happens.

Look LOTFG is a good drama. One of my favourite tropes. I read the novel so I was a little disappointed with some of the plot holes I could see and changes they had to make due to restrictions and also issues with one of the supporting actors. If I had not read the novel prior, I would probably not even mention these. But I'd still watch the drama again and again - just for the leads. The chemistry between the leads was amazing and seeing some of the novel scenes as live action had me squealing. So I would definitely recommend watching the drama but read the novel after.

Has anyone read the novel and does anyone recommend reading the novel prior to watching the drama?
I think wait. It’s only 2 days. I had already read the novel for LOTFG and was a little disappointed with the changes they made in the drama. I swore to myself that in future, I’ll watch the dramas before reading their novel. Too late that I had already read this one which became one of my favourites- so I have really high expectations for the drama.
