Yeah, even though they did changed in the future, I just wish that we would see more of it in a gradual way. I guess them going in circles maybe was on purpose, to show that if they won't work on themselves then their relationship won't work, for them to see that they really need to be apart, even if for a while, so at least they were able to let go of each other and try new paths. I would like the whole episode to be one year later rather than just a half episode tbh.

Yupp, I totally agree, honestly I'm all for their toxic co-dependence, I like that vibe, but I also just wish that Jack would say sorry to Dean, and that both their toxicity and remorse was more equally portrayed later on, just like in ealier episodes.

But I still think this is not the problem of the character, but rather the screenwriters, like imo Jack wasn't supposed to be as toxic as he was. But well at least he carried the black flag on his bare tattooed shoulders the whole season haha 😭

Yeah the last scene also worried me...but I agree Dean was the one who tried more in their relationship, I also feel sad for him, although I think they loved each other equally, as showed when Jack asked Dean to marry him in the future, or how he helped his sister, and that he always cheered him on as an actor and believed in him.
So they weren't lacking love, but rather it was problem of Jack getting easily triggered, with trust issues, saying hurtful things and treating Dean way too harshly after Dean did things that hurted Jack, and Dean problems was with lying, not being honest, and being too obsessive and in turn toxic to other people. They both are tragic characters to me.
But I also hope that this time Jack and Dean really changed from their past selves, and can be happy together as equals 🩷

Also Jack wasn't alcoholic in the novel nor did he went to rehab so that was also an addition here, I liked it, but I'm sad that they didn't really explored it further like with Ray.

And tbh I also feel like it, they might seem happy and I truly believe they are for now, but maybe their arc wasn't really finished on purpose, to show that they didn't really worked on all issues and welp more troubles will arise, so it's kinda a bittersweet ending, or showing a reality of toxic couples, always ending up back together on and on again, I saw that so many times irl, but it's honestly sad. Welp I wish that's not the case though, no more crying Dean please and Jack stop being a Jackass for once, I need my sweet smexy JackDean.

All Earth characters seem like entirely different people to me, like what do you mean that Hengney, Jim, Phupha and Jack were played by the same person?? the range is crazy

I personally headcanon them as both toxic people who are deeply in love with each other, and they should be together (I just loved the moments when they were happy together) after they work things out, and Jack should say sorry. That happend in a way, but yeah I'm also not so sure if they really changed that much and won't repeat the same mistakes.

Earth also seems to agree, because he said that when he acted it didn't seem that way, but after watching the whole series he thinks that Jack is really wicked and Dean deserved better and Mix was team JackDean breaking up so yeah even they didn't agree with this lol 😭

I don't remember him saying sorry, but he did say that he is also at fault to Arnold for pushing Dean to double cast, and in ep3 he said that when Dean is hurting he is hurting as well. He didn't finished saying it, but in the final ep in the rain scene, he said that there is one thing he really regrets, and he wanted to say that he regrets breaking up with Dean.

I think the problem is that the director and screenwriters wanted to make him the victim and Dean the one at fault, who needs to apologize and make up for his mistakes. That is the way their relationship was portrayed in a novel, Dean was more mean there and Jack was just sad lonely boy, and he wasn't toxic but kind, Jack in series and in the novel are completly different.
So well, with that change in mind, for the series this portrayal didn't really worked, and it looks like the opposite right, that Jack is the one who hurted Dean way out of proportions, and he should apologize, not the one to forigve Dean.

But personally I will always be team JackDean are toxic equally, but I wished the show also wanted to portay it that way, it would make way more sense, than the story trying to say Jack good Dean bad and the viewers saying the opposite 😅 and I'm like both is way better.
