"Legend of Zang Hai" is a drama I personally found very boring. The story starts with a strong setup, where the main lead, after just two episodes, is trained by his father’s companion to take revenge for his father’s death. From that point on, the entire plot revolves solely around this revenge angle. Unfortunately, the story doesn’t branch out much from this single goal. As a result, it feels repetitive and predictable. There is a slight romantic subplot, but it is not developed enough to make the drama emotionally engaging or captivating for me.Although the cast is talented and the acting is decent, the overall story lacks depth and variety. The characters don’t go through much growth, and the emotional arcs are not very satisfying. The pace of the drama is also quite slow, which made it difficult for me to stay invested.
I usually enjoy Chinese historical dramas a lot, especially when they include a blend of emotions and twists. What I personally look for in such stories is a mix of revenge, jealousy, love, a bit of light-hearted comedy, and some action or fighting sequences. Unfortunately, "Legend of Zang Hai" focuses too heavily on revenge and forgets to balance the story with other elements.
To sum up, I was quite disappointed with this drama. It had potential in the beginning, but the lack of diversity in the storyline and weak romantic development made it hard for me to enjoy. If someone is looking for a drama full of emotion, suspense, and varied storytelling, I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Don't watch it
Story over before the romance start . A big no . Seriously more than halp episodes were waste in curing a boy who at th last passed away . It was seemed like we were watching a silly Harry Potter story where hero needs to find out 7 horcrux and then only the boy will cure . The one who bring all the horcrux with such hardship , facing vulnerable situations. All his hardwork goes in vain. Afterward it seemed like they didn't have much to show so they end up the story in awkward scenerio.Was this review helpful to you?
At first, I felt a little bored because the initial episodes reminded me of other dramas with a similar setup. But as the story progressed, I became intrigued by both the storyline and the performances of the actors, especially the love story of the protagonists. I particularly liked the pairing of Nan Heng and his loyal soldier, Fu Gui, which also appeared in the drama The Prison of Beauty. Wang You Shuo is one of my favorite actors, so I felt a bit sad to see him play a negative role. Still, his performance was amazing.
My only issue was with the ending. I think they could have given it a better conclusion.
Overall, I enjoyed watching it.

"The Prisoner of Beauty" is a story about revenge, hate, and eventually respect and love. There is a feud between the male and female protagonists' families. The male lead believes that the female lead's family betrayed his during a vulnerable time. However, that is only half true. There is a treaty between the two families, and because of it, they end up getting married.In the beginning, he hates her and always thinks about taking revenge. But gradually, his thoughts change due to the female lead's kindness and truthfulness. With time, they fall in love and enjoy a sweet and romantic life with a perfect happy ending.
I liked the supporting characters too, especially those around the main leads. I felt bad when Wei Liang died—he was cute, and I liked his love story. Unfortunately, his character had a sad ending.
I loved the drama—romance overloaded!

Not happy with the ending
The beginning of the drama might feel boring because it seems fake and disconnected from the script. Initially, it comes across as a fairy tale, more suitable for children under 15. However, things take a turn around the 10th episode when they accept her into their team to capture the devil. From this point, the story becomes more engaging. It starts to feel realistic when her memories begin to fade, adding depth to the plot.From that moment until the final scene, the drama is captivating. Even the secret, though guessable, adds an element of intrigue. As a viewer, you might predict the twist, but it will still surprise you.
My only issue with the writer is the lack of a subplot showing their reunion. A proper closure would have made the story more satisfying.
Because of the unsatisfactory ending, I wouldn’t recommend watching it. It feels like a waste of time after investing so much in the drama.

During the Republic of China, such theme drama I had already watched . It is kinda boring but bearable . Acting is good . About story what had I understood that two lovers who worked under different agents one side consist of good people ,they were soldiers and other side bad people they somewhat were doing smuggling. The male lead was adopted by them but he had no idea for what cause he was working with them and in this way the story had begun . Senseless story
The drama started on a promising note with the intriguing concept of a love affair between a devil and a human. However, as the story progressed, numerous flaws became apparent.Firstly, when Xuan Li's mother died, her memory was supposedly removed, but later, when she started remembering her past, her mother's memory inexplicably returned.
Secondly, Xuan Li's marriage was supposedly arranged by God, yet there was no flashback or explanation provided. Only glimpses of the scene were shown, and there was no further reference to it.
Thirdly, when the human incarnation of the god was introduced to the others, one of the girls kept mentioning that they had been together for many years ,how it is possible when they were all new to each other . It seemed implausible that the human incarnation would be so deeply connected to Xuan Li upon their first meeting, and I expected there to be a flashback story to explain this sudden connection.
Throughout the drama, there were numerous coincidences and inconsistencies that were difficult to understand.
Furthermore, the ending was extremely disappointing, to say the least.

Boring
Watching the drama felt like witnessing a competition between the writers , each striving to craft a story without any coherent sense. The unnecessary introduction of the concept of time travel was the drama's biggest flaw, as the story could have been understood without it. Additionally, up until the 15th episode, viewers were led astray, feeling deceived. While the narrative eventually found its footing, it failed to maintain a strong grip on the audience's attention. Not happy with end
The drama unfolded smoothly, with a unique twist being the female lead's reluctance to disclose crucial information despite repeated inquiries. She remained tight-lipped until she accomplished her objectives, enduring significant hardships along the way. However, the ending left me puzzled. I couldn't grasp why they chose not to conclude the drama on a positive note, with the two characters living separately as the story came to a close. Boring
Many times i thought to drop it but i liked the female lead that's why I watched it . Male lead acting was bored instead of him ,second lead was better ,the one who played the role of his cousin .Concept was good but i think it was not well written . Otherwise direction was good . Watch it at your own risk . Literally it had not charm . I didn't feel sympathy towards male lead's character story . Other co stars acting were good. One more couple i liked who worked in the veterinary hospital and they were little bit aged.

Neither too bad not too good
It was my a long waited drama . I liked it trailer basically after watching the trailer I liked the concept . Now connectivity of two world through small piece of meteroite neither any novel nor any video game . As well they go through to eachother world may times so drama showed both era .Starting of two -three episodes were interesting because nobody was understand her ,she tried to explain the situation that she didn't belong this world but the male lead and his bodyguard thought she made stories to save her. The drama went smooth till when he went to her world and again he came to his world and that time her brother also went to his world and then female lead ,her brother , male lead and his body guard altogether again came to the present time . Then except her brother all again went to the past time . So till here story went smooth , afterwards it looked liked the story was stretched unnecessarily and this made the drama bored . Literally afterward I watched some episodes in fast-forward mode and finished it . Ending was good.
My recommendation would be if you don't have anything to watch then go for it.

Expect more
Because of leads i had decided to watch the drama . By reading synopsis i hoped the story would be cleared . First of all i found the chemistry between the lead was poor ,I mean there was no romance . Male lead in the whole drama had shown the same type of expression s.Even since strating i had never felt that he actually love her.Because three thousands years ago story they were been together because she helped him in the war . Then they separated in the war ,During war he was died and she saved him by giving her core energy and then she realised she loved him . She vanished after transferred her energy to him . Then he looked for her spirit in order to give the core energy back to her . So this had been cleared that it was not love it was just a favour may be . After 3000 years when he found her at that time he was not sure the girl he had found was the one he had been looking . The girl had fallen in love with him . Love at first sight something like that . Then when he realised that the girl was the one who was he looking ? Still no sign of love from his side . Then he always been around her. Afterwards he said her that she was the one whom he liked . This statement had shown that since starting he liked her . This confused me alot . There were so many scenes of them but zero romance ,she was the only who all the time flattering with him ,tease him and did fun with him but from his side same boring expression.
Story was good but execution was failed according to me.

no sad ending
beautifully the story has started ,childhood friend met when they had grown up . Recognised eachother and fall in love ,they were sharing so beautiful moments with each other then suddenly an incident occur which completely shaken the male lead . He tried his level best to make the things right but everytime he failed . Then he kept his life on stake and he succeeded but then he was no more to see the things which had been proper then she did her level best to bring him back in her life but .... i don't want to be spoiler so if you like love story and have strength to bear the sad moments then watch it .At last ,the story has happy ending but not completely.

One time watch
I have no words how to describe this drama. Female lead lived with her friend not with her father because she always thought that his father cheated her mother and when she needed him the most he wasn't there. So she always resented him . On the other side male lead misunderstood her father , he thought that he was the killer of his father. When the leads had fallen in love ,then he came to know that she was the daughter of his enemy but he still love her and because of her he didn't take revenge of his father but he made her hather realised about what he had done with his father and he never forgave him . At the same time he came to know that his father's killer was someone else . Female lead thought that he never loved her ,with planning he enter in her life and then she broke with him . They got separated . But he never give up . He continued to pursue her. And then there was a happy ending.Sometime some episodes bored me and some episodes were good.

After 20 episode the story went well.
To begin with ,the acting of male lead actor was excellent ,amazing ,fantastic ,totally involved in his acting ,it seemed like actually it all those things were happening with him. In addition story had happy ending and last was good . But story went well after 20th episodes before this story was boring . But believe me it was not time wasting story . Give a try to story.Graphics were good .Second leads story were also good and happy to saw the happy ending of fox and monkey . I like female lead also she also good but male is best in his acting . Their love story was good and their pairing also.
