I find the last episodes a bit repetitive... it's the same circle of she getting angry and he saying he's sorry.…
True, I stopped watching at episode 8. Will probably pick it up again when all episodes are out.
The constant push and pull is tiring. The "will they or won’t they" has dragged on for the last few episodes that it stopped building tension and just became frustrating. Even if the source material was written this way, it didn’t need to be followed literally. With better pacing and some condensation, the story could be much more engaging and maintained its momentum.
I’ve only just started it, and so far I kind of get some of the comments about the female lead being a bit annoying. I’m not sure if it’s the way the character is written or the actress’ portrayal, but she comes across as somewhat unserious, almost like she’s just playing around? Or just indifferent? Or maybe it's just me, lol. I'll give it a few more episodes.
Episode 1: I can’t believe the father just stood there holding his daughter. He could have easily run into the nearest room, there was one right behind them, and locked the door to keep her safe.
I watched this back in college, and while I don’t remember many of the specific plot details now, I do remember the overall experience. It was a pleasant romcom, bit formulaic and predictable, but still charming and enjoyable.
I’m only on episode 1 and somewhat annoyed. With her husband out, just her and her little girl in the house, and it being their very first night in a village where they barely know anyone, I can't believe a mother wouldn’t lock the door, or at the very least keep a closer eye on her child 🤦♀️
I am on episode 5, and I can't stand that taxi driver. He keeps dragging people left and right along with him…
Same here. Episode 5 completely ruined it for me. That was the final straw. I was so frustrated and angry at the main character's choices that I stopped caring about him entirely.
I'm on episode 5 and it's good so far, but one thing that annoys me with this one and about similar genre in general, is how main characters seem to have zero survival instincts and make really dumb decisions. It's frustrating watching them just stand there while someone is being murdered...like, why?! Run or hide already, anything! Just get the heck out of there. It takes me out of the story when they act so unrealistically helpless and end up causing others to suffer or die because of their stupid decisions.
