While I agree that they are short, I also think that helps with the production quality. Cos having 1 hour and 10 or more episodes like some BLs (that shall not be named) those somehow becomes dull and draggy with many unnecessary side characters, silly dialogues, long flashbacks, repetitive scenes, etc ... just to make the 1hr cut. With shorter episodes, the production team becomes creative and focuses more on the plot, pacing, and flow and therefore producing a better output.
Sakae-kun's smile helped me get through till the end. Recently JBLs has been really killing it, so somehow this was a bit underwhelming for me. It's not that bad compared to other BLs, but it isn't that great either. I always prefer and enjoy mature themed BLs and the plot here was really good. I love the side characters too. I guess it was the leads' chemistry that really didn't click with me.
Not recommended because of the way the girls dress and wear shoes???
Yes, I do know Kawaii. As I've somehow experienced it, been to Japan, wore a kimono, white socks, those tiny slippers, among others, the whole shebang. It was kinda cute, but tiring. Anyway, it is part of their culture and tradition so I wouldn't judge the series for that.
As for the series, I somehow agree. It has become slow and boring. The only thing that keeps me watching is I'm curious of Minami's identity and secret or whatever she's hiding.
I'm disappointed in Qians way of talking to Yuan after he confessed liking a guy. Qian said there are so many…
I think that was a realistic initial reaction. For a man who single handedly brought up two persons as his brother and sister, his thinking is always for the long run, their future. To him he is responsible of their future. His thinking was very patriarchal since he brought them up. He is afraid Yuan would have a difficult life. It is said, that today's society is more open, but in most Asian countries it isn't. Also, to some people, they say it's all good and okay to be gay, but when it does happen to them, to their actual family, it isn't that easy to accept.
Maybe because I enjoyed the og version so much that I can't seem to find interest in finishing this one. I've tried the first two episodes, pretty good but I am just not that invested. Maybe because I already know where it's going. I'll try again when I run out of other stuff to watch.
Wasn't perfect but still gave it a 10. I don't know why, I guess I just ended up loving it so much. There's something about the series and the main characters that makes me want to give them all the love in the world. So endearing.
