I just noticed that in BTS of HRY and BJS hugging (the one assumed to be the happy ending), they have same clothes…
No that is just messed up but kinda adds up if you think of it as them passing their love tribulation and so finally being able to sort of be together. Although I prefer for this not to be the ending
I told u yesterday it's about equality and hry words to linger father is her pov and have big meaning, these words…
for me perosally I think more than equality or respect, I think if you don't share stuff with your partner and make decisions for them it shows a lack of trust in them and what people expect the most in any relationship is "trust" atleast I hope they do, otherwise the relationship will never last. This doesn't have to be for a romantic relationship it could even be for friendships or family relations.
While I get what YZ is trying to say. I have to disagree with a few things.Bai Jiusi’s choice to take the punishment…
Yep, I definetly agree like although some might say he had no right to choose for her and should have discussed it with her, I think his intention was not a bad one he didnt want to hurt her and no way in hell would he able to predict the result of that. However, I get the fl as well like she might be pissed that it wasnt discussed with her and she would rather deal with that than the suffering she had to go through fr the 10 years. So at the end of it I do wish he had atleast told her about it because it would mean he trusts her and if he doesn't then I am sorry I don't think you should be in a freaking relationship.
Ok so this is a major spoiler do not watch it if you will regret it later. I sort of regreted as I accidentally came across it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l66rnr9RLTk So apprently, the conflict between them may not have been just the child. We can't make any conclusions just yet as there are more than 10 plot twists.
What do you mean her worst character, so someone cannot be flawed ?, if it was the male lead who was more complex…
I get where you're coming from—if the male lead (ML) acted like this, people would probably criticize him a lot more. But honestly, I think it all comes down to how her character is written and developed. Yes, she can be selfish and sometimes takes the ML’s love for granted, but the ML isn’t perfect either. For him, this love tribulation feels more like something he has to “pass” rather than something he emotionally grows through.
Let’s not forget—not every character needs to have that dashing, flawless personality from the start. Some people (even in real life) are difficult or emotionally messy, but watching them grow is what makes the story meaningful. I agree she made questionable choices, like mingling with the Meng family and not immediately clearing up the misunderstanding with the grandson.
When we compare her to iconic female leads like Meng Ziyi, Song ZuEr, or Wu Jinyan, of course she’s going to seem less compelling. Those characters were written to be idealized or inspiring from the start. But here, I think the writers are trying to portray a flawed person learning through pain—and hopefully, by the end, she’ll stop taking the ML for granted. If that happens, it won't feel rushed but earned. If not, then yeah, it’ll just feel like they forced the “epic love” angle in the last 10% of the drama.

Actually, aren't you tired of just having characters that are not flawed and have the perfect love story and automatically fall in love that was never properly explained. I think that is more superficial. When it comes to bai lu's character she does love him but she values her morals more. Yes she is naive and never listens to his concerns and thinks of him as someone who has no heart but they are supposed to be opposite energies and its completely natural for them to have miscommunication. Remember it is a Love/ hate relationship not just love.
The drama has an incredible plot! It's like watching "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" who are stalking each other and smiling while planning their murder! Some trolls are trying to attack the plot, but I'll tell them that it won't work, because this time Bai Lu and Joseph exceeded all expectations and the drama is OUTSTANDING - there is intrigue in every gesture and facial expression! You constantly wonder if she is an "evil genius" or if he is just paranoid! Perfect!
