Wasted story potential
The first couple of episodes were good but ultimately the ending made no sense. Was revenge achieved ? Not really. Was she actually a genius at shogi? Not really.
It was anticlimactic, even the reveal of why he left his wife and child. I didn't get the son at all and his feelings towards her, then it turned into being feeling unloved/ not a priority by his parents.
Why was she working with her Dad's wife when she refused to help with her mum's dying wish. So stupid.
