It's interesting to read everyone's thoughts, here's my view on this episode - I know they could've covered the topic of bullying and injustice for longer and more deeply, but they also have other plotlines to implement and work on for the next five episode's. Personally, i loved the take on this episode and the way it presented us with the harsh reality of both bullying and injustice that runs true all throughout the world. What talay did with gorya was wrong, but he has was holding an unbearable amount of pain and regret of not being able to do anything for his friend/brother. When he started gaining power and building his small empire, and finally caught thyme, he poured all his anger and hatred and beat the hell out of him, to the point where he wasn't able to differentiate between the right and wrong. He was going through a lot, he stopped when he saw gorya protecting thyme, which reminded him of how phupha stopped him from committing the wrong when they were kids. That's when the reality hit him. See, both gorya and thyme can't feel what talay feels, even though gorya went through all this herself, she witnessed thyme change and she's in love with him. What thyme did obviously doesn't justify his actions. HE AND ALL THE F4 GUYS WILL ALWAYS STAY GUILTY OF THEIR PAST ACTIONS. But this episode also showed us how much thyme has changed, he could've handled this situation with vengeance but he didn't, because he has matured, again, i know as talay said - if Apologizes could fix everything then why do we even need the police system, he's right. But what phupha said also stays true - If a person who has done wrong is willing to change then I'll forgive him. See, as an audience we can't be the judge, neither we can turn our eyes blind, apologise doesn't always work all the time, but i think it all depends on the victim and his family, because they are the one who've suffered the most, it's their choice to accept it or not. Still, in a way, it's both comforting and healing to see people accepting their wrong doings & working towards becoming better humans, the way thyme did. It shows us that people can change for the better. Also, putting thyme in jail wouldn't have done any good, he still would have come out clean because of his families influence, so i think, we all should look at the redemption and antonment journey thyme is following. I'm sure, he'll bring good changes in the future. Rest, everyone's bound to have their own opinion. I loved the way this episode tackled this serious and significant issue
“he won't be able to understand the real difference she feels” 100%!! At the end of the day, even if he tries…
Exactly, these rich lads are lavishing their family money all the time. I know they don't do it purposefully but it castes an enormous impact on gorya with thyme buying all the scooters for her to choose, lita gifting her expensive things. This event was the main turning point but even before that gorya could always sense and feel the difference in their class. When both thyme and lita visited gorya's home, it was a sort of fun adventure for them, to see their closet, tv, meal choices, lifestyle for the first time, it's so inferior to their's, hence it won't effect them, they'll go back to their luxury homes & enjoy, but for gorya each step into thyme's big and glamorised world, only puts her in the space where she can be easily belittled and placed under scrutiny.
Have watched quite few drama's with the "RICH GUY-POOR GIRL TROPE", but i don't think any drama ever presented the clash of class difference equating to two worlds so apart this well. IT'S A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THE REAL WORLD. It wasn't just lita developing feelings for thyme that made gorya decide to let him go, rather it was the full view gorya experienced through one single event, witnessing their society, connections, and culture. She learnt that it was a whole new world so different from her's, a world where she was a mere nobody, with a line she'll never be able to cross, never be able to live through. And she realised how tremendously difficult it would be for thyme to make a place for her, when he himself is learning to set a place for himself + after learning about how being with lita's family would benefit thyme and Lita's growing feelings for him, she decided to go through the pain for his happiness and betterment. Both tu and bright performed exceptionally well in this scene. Gorya falling apart while expressing the difference in their worlds and saying she's exhausted repeatedly, her exhaustion, pain and helplessness could be felt through her voice, she clearly has a lot in her plate rn with her her parents in the village, she has to manage her school and part time jobs. While thyme's frustration and anger was valid as well, he has been trying, giving, changing, maturing, doing everything within his reach to make gorya comfortable in his world, but sadly he won't be able to understand the real difference she feels and she won't be able to feel the intensity of the love he holds for her. It's truly sad that they had to break apart for each other's good but i think this is the perfect timing for them, the more they delay, the more will be the pain. + I like how this drama is taking their story above the highschool phase and stepping into adulthood.
So the ‘hurt’ at 19 & 23, I have two plausible ideas as to what cause the riff or fallout between HD & YJ.…
I completely agree with this theory, I don't think they'll stay as friends for three year straight. Episode 2 made it pretty prevalent that more people will chase him in the future, so a separation between the two is quite possible. Though i don't want Yijin to die, hopefully he doesn't, he has already been through enough, i wish he could live a full life with heedo and his daughter. I think the chat buddy and heedo might share a relationship before Yijin comes back to her life or maybe they'll stretch it till the end for it to be Yijin himself but that would be albeit redundant. What if they do it like reply 1997, there the main female lead had a chat buddy, they were about to meet, he called her on the home telephone but the male lead rejected it, as in he said wrong number or something i guess.
Do you know any page on instagram that's posting about this drama by chance. Unfortunately I'm not on twitter…

I've seen her already in three movie's - space sweepers, The handmaiden and little forest but i can't get enough of her. I'm contemplating over Mr.sunshine but that's too lengthy 😂

Do you know any page on instagram that's posting about this drama by chance. Unfortunately I'm not on twitter or reddit, like most of the people here, i wish I could talk with more people about this drama. I just started this drama after almost 2 year k-drama slump and I'm loving it.
I did love the last episode, more breakthroughs from our main leads! I saw that many people found their relationship…
Yes !! I love slow burn drama's too .. the pain in every episode just opens up the characters and gives it a realistic feel ? well I do believe everything will be alright by the end.
The comment section has majority of negative comments now. Lol I'm loving the drama alot . I always knew this drama would get depressing and is filled with angst , but I love it. Just because they have good chemistry doesnt mean it's gonna be a cute drama . IT'S NOT A FLUFF !! Life is never the same , you see both good and bad days. It can get annoying for some people I guess (specially for people who are just looking into it as drama ) , just try to understand the characters and their situation please!! Also last episode showed rise in rating ?
I saw it coming but it still hurts.
