So beautiful and poetic.. a must watch and rewatch

Wow just wow.. what an stunning and unforgettable drama !! So beautiful and poetic.. définitely one of the best of 2025
Last year, I started watching the highly anticipated « Red Moon Pact » with great expectations.. only to be deeply disappointed.. I only completed it out of respect for the actors.. but lets be honest, it bored (and confused) me to death.
So I started watching « Love in Pavilion » with low expectations and some skepticism… but I gave it a try for Ding Yu Xi and to be prepared for « Sword and Beloved » with Cheng Yi and Li Yi Tong.. and I am really happy to have given it a try because it pleasantly surprised me… it amazed me…
The beautiful and talented cast, high quality CGI and cinematography, direction, editing, OST (love it so much, in particular Rainie Yang and Zhang Yun Long’s songs).. everything was on point and just perfect..
It deserves so much more attention than it actually received.. but sadly, I believe it suffered from « Red Moon Pact » failure and disappointment..
Don’t hesitate to give it a chance.
Highly recommended !! Now give us « Sword and Beloved ».. withdrawal syndrom is real..

Pursuit of Jade: A Sublime Journey

What a way to start 2026! Honestly, the quality of cdramas this year has been amazing so far, and Pursuit of Jade is no exception. I had been waiting for this one for so long because I was dying to see Zhang Ling He and Tian Xi Wei as a couple. I definitely wasn’t disappointed—they are both such talented actors and their chemistry is just off the charts!

The whole cast is actually wonderful. From the "Lin’An folks" to the two kids, little Changning and Bao’Er... they were so cute that I’m already making a mental appointment to see them lead their own drama as a couple in 15 years!

And can we talk about the villains? Yan Yi Kuan, Den Kai, and Lin Mu Ran have such an incredible aura. In the final episodes, Wei Yan (Yan Yi Kuan) has this magnetic presence that makes it impossible to look away whenever he's on screen.

The production itself is amazing. The OST is so beautiful and it really makes you feel every single emotion (best OST this year so far). Plus, the cinematography is stunning—whether it’s the epic battle scenes or the romantic moments (oh la la, that love-making scene in the water was so sensual!).

And finally, the ending was so satisfying! For once, a director actually gave the finale the importance it deserves. It didn't feel rushed or messy; it was the proper ending this drama deserved.

If I have one regret, it’s only that I wish the middle of the show were longer. Some parts felt a bit fast and I think the story deserved a few more episodes to really breathe. But overall, I truly loved this drama and I’m going to miss it so much!

Love in the Clouds - An Epic love

This year has delivered some truly amazing Wuxia dramas, and for me, « Love in the Clouds » stands among the best, alongside « Love of the Divine Tree » and « When Destiny Brings the Demon ». It’s certainly my personal favorite!

💙 The Romance and Chemistry 💗

This drama showcases the "enemies-to-lovers" trope at its absolute finest. The story is captivating and what truly makes it stand out is the incredible chemistry between the two main leads.
Hou Ming Hao and Lu Yu Xiao are extremely talented young actors and their on screen presence is exceptional. There was no inhibition in their acting. They held nothing back, much to our delight.

An absolute feast for romantic fools like me.
Everything from the dialogues to the kisses, and especially the sensuality in their interactions, felt magical *oh the butterflies*. It's the kind of romance that makes you believe in epic love.

Beyond the powerful acting and romance, the entire production (story, cinematography and costumes) is a success.

And I can't forget the wonderful OST. Hou Ming Hao’s song « If Your World Had No Sunshine », in particular, is a true masterpiece that will stay in your head (and heart) for a long time. 🎶🎶🎶🎶

A must-watch!

A Hidden and heartwarming Gem

I originally started this drama for Chen Fei Yu with no expectation (more like I didn’t know what to expect), but I ended up discovering an absolute masterpiece. My heart is so full after finishing it… this show is a hidden gem that deserves to be known !

Beyond Expectations: Hope and Resilience

The 1970s was a difficult era, but the drama is so heartwarming. It shows how people found happiness despite every delusions and difficulties. Once the main couple is together, their bond is unbreakable.. they are simply happy and fearless against the world. It’s a beautiful lesson in love and resilience.

The acting is truly top-tier. The chemistry between the leads is electric, but the entire cast is phenomenal. The family circle’s bond was so authentic and warm that it felt like we were witnessing the Life of a true family. I am going to miss these characters so much!

Also I am truly impressed by the production quality. The directing and editing are flawless.. the way they used slow-motion at exactly the right moments and integrated archival footage was genius. Every detail on the screen and the perfect pacing added a touch of magic.

The Most Satisfying Conclusion

It is so rare to find a drama where the ending feels this perfect. I loved that every character received the right retribution for their actions. It felt incredibly fair and left me with a deep sense of peace and satisfaction.

Overall, this is a high-quality production with a soul. It’s a poignant, visual, and emotional journey that leaves a lasting impression. If you want a story with incredible performances and a lot of heart, please do not miss this one!

I just finished it and I already miss it.. miss them..
