As I understood it was nothing more than erasing his brother's memory (because Ramil realised he was being too suspicious and caught the vase too fast ig?). But I'm guessing it just rubbed Punn the wrong way because it's something so new and unnatural and he didn't want his brother to be a part of this whole mind manipulation thing?
