Almost interesting
Let's start with things that I liked:1. The props and special effects
2. The second couple - May and Jiu. Their story was quite simple, but cute nevertheless. Or maybe I'm just biased because the Jiu actress was extemely attractive to me.
3. The fact that they gave Tul's character a dilemma to deal with and showed her fighting temptation, not just being a picture perfect person and cop throughout all 10 episodes, as that would have made her way too one-dimensional.
4. Original storyline in the genre of GL
Now the not-so-good aspects:
1. Plotholes. Many plotholes
2. The lazy writing when it came to police looking for evidence. I understand that it's just a show, but come on. The fact that a tennis player killed someone and left a bloody tennis racket behind as evidence is funny to say the least.
3. Ridiculous phrases that police officers would never actually say, like: "I can't believe he's so good looking and a criminal"
4. Stuff randomly being forgotten or left behind, for example Big Tech dying purely because Tul didn't shoot her brother in time and just stood there crying, yet was never held accountable. I understand that it may be hard for her, but that's still not how the world works, is it..
5. I haaaaate when violence against women is used for shock value and as plot device. But alright, let's say the world is cruel and not every story has to be rainbows and butterflies. The amount of screentime Tin got just to ramble about his big boy struggles and express misogynistic beliefs is infuriating. After all that I couldn't care less whose brother or son he was, so the "emotional" sibling confrontations did nothing for me.
6. Lack of chemistry between the main leads. Doesn't matter how gorgeous they are, something is a little off. Also I did a lot of skipping throughout ep 10, the show creators slightly overestimated how interesting it would be to just listen them yap about everything that happened.
Wouldn't call this GL bad as there are some very unique aspects to it and if someone told me they loved this show, I wouldn't struggle to understand why. Just pointing out some flaws that stuck out to me personally.
