Title More Than Friends Spoiler
ML char description is that he's blunt and direct. Words such as "I want to spend more time with you, I miss you"…
This is true!! I do know it’s not an excuse for him to hurt Wooyeon but there’s more room for Lee Soo’s charac development in the next episodes. The previous two eps is too early for us to judge Lee Soo. I think Lee Soo’s perspective is something that I’ll be looking forward to in the next episodes. When we think about it, he actually followed Wooyeon’s request when she first told him to never see her again(so maybe that was why he didn’t want to go to Seoul and remained in Jeju). It was fate who brought them together again in Jeju and his blunt and cold character actually somehow balances with the clichés in the story. It makes it somehow realistic and possible irl.

Yes! I was waiting for this kdrama sooo bad! And it's WAY Better than I expected!!
Initially, I do believe all of us felt the same because of the synopsis. But you’re right, when we finished the first ep, we’d know that it’s seriously way better than our expectations. From the actors, the way they attacked each scene with their characters, the aesthetic scenes and the bgms and most of all, the little things that Lee Soo did really got me. I applaud Ong Seongwu for that, he didn’t make anything exaggeratedly, instead, he settled for little actions and obscure emotions making it really emotional once you find out his side of the story . Shin Yeeun did very well in expressing Wooyeon’s various range of emotions as well, from all those crying scenes to happy scenes. All in all, I was extremely satisfied with the first episode!

At first, I thought the synopsis was too cliche, but still I gave the first episode a shot and BAM. I was fooled. I actually first thought that Lee Soo was a selfish jerk but then, throughout the episode, I found out that he has his own ways of showing that he cares for Wooyeon. His moves were subtle, obscure but when you realize it, the impact to was actually very heart fluttering. I don’t even think he just sees her as a friend. He definitely wants more, and I think something’s just stopping him. I’m looking forward for the next episodes!!! Def gonna stay til the end coz I think this is just not your typical friends to lovers trope, if you give the first ep a try, you’ll surely know something makes it unique and interesting.
