What's going on? kdramas rating have been low recently
All non romance shows have abysmal ratings on this site, even if they are masterpieces (ofc except a few rare ones). And as an aromantic person who watches non-romance dramas avidly, it pisses me off to no end. A mediocre romcom will easily get a 8.5 - 9 rating while masterpieces like Evilive are rated so poorly smh

I don't understand those who leave negative reviews. If you don't like it, don't watch it. I also have a lot of…
No reviews are always necessary, be it negative or positive. The first thing I do before I start watching a drama is watch the trailer and go through the reviews section. Search through them for both negative and positive reviews and their reasons for said reviews, then I finally decide if I'm gonna watch it or keep it for another time.

Sometimes the content can be triggering. For eg - Death's game kdrama. It's about a guy who committed suicide living through 12 lives and learning through it but the way it's portrayed like the male lead is a 'sinner' and a 'coward' for choosing death and leaving behind his loved ones grieving is pure victim blaming and can be very triggering for an already suicidal person. And of course there was the classic "Others suffer more than you", like you can't just compare people's suffering.

Another time the content might be different from the source material and not a faithful adaptation of it. It's nice to have a heads up and temper expectations accordingly before starting a drama or series (especially for people with limited free time to enjoy watching long series like me)

Thank you for this list. As an aromantic I dislike romance both in real life and media. You can add Beyond Evil in this list. It has (good) bromance tho.
