The strongest side of this show was Fort's acting of difficult emotion, man can really show authentic anger and pain, those tears despite poker face broke my heart, but sadly he was somehow awkward and stiff in lighter scenes :( But I see potential in him, under the right directing he could be really good actor. Other then that, the show was just meeh, liked the chemistry between the main couples but come on, it's 2022, we need some more substance in BL's, the bar is set higher than that now:)
My personal top moments of physical acting of Build as Pete:
1. That little twich of his mouth when he looks at the chain, minutes before his breakdown in the safehouse
2. When he's speaking with his grandma and he has to physically put his mask back on to be able to normally talk to her while Vegas stares directly into his eyes
3. The bathtub scene when Porsche is asking what happened and you can see like he's literally swallowing up his emotions and trying to put the creepy-happy smile mask on
4. When his face goes completely blank - "I've always been useless"
5. When he smiles like a maniac seconds before Vegas starts to fry his balls
Honorable mention:
His face when he decides on the porch, to go comfort Vegas instead of running away
Ok, so hear me out - "I can't run off to anywhere":
First, Pete beats the shit out of Vegas (rightly so) - but I honestly don't think it's just revenge for the abuse that Vegas have put him in the beginning - it's because Vagas made him feel things, and Pete was perfectly content (not misread as happy) with his life as it was - no deep feelings to disturb him and his mask. But then Vegas came and the feelings came, feelings he could not contain anymore (the heartbreaking scene at Yok's bar) - but Vegas just left him with them, and left him to go on his Daddy's mission, like nothing that Pete has said abut making his own choices has meant to him. So he puts Pete in a position he never wanted to be putted - overflowing with feelings for him and for the main family - facing the truth that he has to fight him, even if everything in Pete says otherwise. So the beating is punishment for that.
But then why Pete haven't left, moreover, he went after him?
"I can't run off to anywhere" - I don't think Pete refers here to going back to the main family (as he can't do that after resigning). I think he knows that there is no escape from feelings for Vegas. He tried that before, when he left Vegas in the safe house, but it didn't work. So he finally decided that he has to live by his motto now and be honest - honest to himself about his feelings - there is no escape from Vegas, he can never run off from the thread that is between him and Vegas.
I barely ever comment anything on MDL, but I just had to leave this here before the storm after the last episode starts.
I will be forever grateful for KP because it gave the actors a chance to really shine. I mean, I think this is the the only Thai BL show (right after Not me), where I can see real acting. Not actors being put in the same clichés over and over again and pretending to be acting when they actually just play out the scenes and that's it. KP gave them the opportunity to show how good they can be if given a decent material and directing.
I mean take Tong - he was average in TharnType, and rather mediocre in Second Chance (just IMO of course). But here? Just a side character, comic relief but - he's got so much talent and has finally a space to show it off!
Besides the story being captivating and of course chemistry and hotness of the leads that's my biggest pleasure in watching every Sutarday - to see real emotions coming to life, with genuine acting, where I can really forget it's not real.
And of course, I love the community we have here - I may not be actively taking part in it, but I read everything and love (most of) the people here! Thank you guys!
Mmm why would u say so.. if u really lik a bl rom com.. then this should be at the top.. but if u don't like this…
TBH I was so bored by the Cutie Pie that I've intentionally wrote one-word review, and was really hesitating if I want to engage with the first comment so thank you for replying for me :D
It's been more than a week and I'm still hangover after NotMe... It was such a unique show. OST is so on point that I'm reliving every episode just by listening. And I know everyone talks about Off/Gun acting (as they should, they were amazing!), but for me First shines the brightest in the show, his performance was done so naturally beautiful, that I truly believed that Yok is a real character. Hats off!
I think it will pretty much divide the fandom... KinnPorshe has crazy visuals ( BUDGET!!!) so even when we already…
To be honest if I'd be watching series for the budget or the production I wouldn't get into BLs in the first place :) No doubt KinnPorsche will be on another level in terms of production and all, and don't get me wrong - I will watch it even only out of admiration for persistence and hard work of the whole crew that made it finally happen, no matter what the results will be. I'm just saying in terms of storyline, the characters and the depth Not Me is carrying (setting aside the relationship drama for a minute) this is the best show I could've ever hoped to come form Thai series.
Ok, so I was waiting for the series coming to an end to binge it - just stared, being only on the 3rd episode but I have to say this - this is THE show of 2021 for me. Only couple of episodes in, but the number of issues brought up, questions that the series asks, dialogues that actually say something insightful and meaningful not only to Thai people but so universal (as an international fan it strikes me even harder) - I'm just amazed. I've been waiting for KinnPorsche forever, but I seriously doubt it will jump over the high bar than Not Me just created. It should be promoted as hard as possible as the crown jewel of Thai tv industry. I'm just speechless that after all of BL's watched that easily blend in to one after some time, I got to see THIS. I hope it keeps up like this till the end but I'm already hooked.

Idk, just something I can't get out of my mind
