Loved it!
No real love story here; instead, we get great women's friendship and strong female characters.
It was fun to watch and we get a badass Park ShinHye!

Also a question regarding Som-I below:
How could HaeSook's repressed memories of her younger self (Som-I) appear in the train to the afterlife? And why days after HaeSook's arrival in Heaven? How does that make sense? I can understand that those memories get the shape of a person in Heaven but I don't get how she ended up in the train and why then?

Watched till the end because I am curious, but I really did not think it was a good drama.
The story is full of improbabilities, especially the first episode, and the scenario is very weak.
It is still enjoyable if you are not bothered by bad writing.
Overall, it felt like watching some girl's fantasy dream with little hardships and barriers she leaps through.

I was blown away by the pansori and the gukgeuk performances!!
I also love the fact that this drama takes place in the 50s. I haven't seen many historical k-dramas that are not during the Joseon period.

Title Cheer Up
I really needed something like that.! The female lead is so cheerful and silly (and it does not feel forced) that it lifts your mood!
I don't remember seeing personalities like hers in other k-dramas which made watching this better.
I also loved the interactions with the different characters as well as seeing them grow up and I cannot say I disliked any of them, they were all cute and wholesome in their own ways.
Definitely an easy-to-watch youth and romance k-drama with a feel-good ending.

What was written on that piece of pink paper Jiaxu finds inside the empty milk bottle?
Thank you! :)

I really liked it at first, there seemed to be a lot of potential for the story... until it started revolving around the hospice and all those deaths. I felt like like each episode was introducing us to a new patient just to kill it 40min later or at best one episode later.
I cannot really see the point, what is this all about?
Why did they drift so much from the main plot?
I'm currently at episode 10 and I'm not dropping it because I still want to know if the "secret" will be revealed but this should have been renamed "Hospice Stories" or something more fitting.

Just finished rewatching this old classic, after 12 years.
I felt really nostalgic listening to the songs, seeing a Korea from the past, and going through the story again. I can see now how much Korea and Korean dramas changed. It was a nice experience.

Title Do You Like Brahms? Spoiler
So in the end…
Chae SongAh ends up doing and being what she was told by two of the worst “adults” from the show:
“You cannot be a violinist because you started too late, you need to find something else”
“JoonYoung needs a wife that can take care of his busy schedule”
Face the reality of your country and go back to your place, a wife you must be! So frustrating!

Currently watching episode 13 and cannot hear their French anymore, my ears are bleeding...
They could have at least tried to get actors who actually speaks French a little instead of having them read/memorise a Korean script of an incorrect French pronounciation...

I've met gyopos in Korea and people born in Korea but adopted and raised in France as in this drama, none of them were like that, the ones raised in France since childhood were definitely French nothing like this Louis. The representation here is wrong and just convey a wrong image...
Also, the names... Luis ? Shouldn't it be LOuis ? and Rhéa ? Is it Léa but pronounced incorrectly ?

Sorry for the rant but just had to let it out, in case any other French person is wondering if they'll watch it. Préparez vos oreilles !

Having grown up in a similar family, in a way, seeing how it looks from a third person perspective makes mes realise…
Thank you for all the great insight. I lived in Asia myself (Japan, China, Korea) and I know how different perspectives and interactions can be.
That's why I was not surprised by the parents' attitude. It was more about the siblings and how the whole family seemed to never exchange any word, especially greetings.
At first, I was puzzled when they are first shown at home, and even asked myself if this was some kind of share house, even if unlikely.
I think the whole situation made me anxious while watching and my comment may not have been the wisest.
I will try to give this drama a second chance and watch it.

Why don't they talk to each other !?
I just watched episode 1 and I felt so uncomfortable every time the family members see each other, walk past each other and doesn't exchange a single word : no "good morning", no "hi", no "how was your day",... nothing.
Does it get any better at some point ?

Thank you so much for writing this, I was not as disappointed in the ending as everyone else was, I guess because…
Well said. I have exactly the same thoughts.
I personally gave it a full score as I had such a great time watching this drama and was not disappointed !

I am almost using the same words as someone else at this point... But that Yi Jin would take the job which means…
I don't really agree. Don't forget that they are Koreans, they may not see things from the same perspective as you do. Also, we need to remember the conditions in which he took the job offer, and his family situation.
