Even thought I felt lost at some points in the story and thought that there were some incoherences and plot holes, I'm greatly enjoying this drama. It's cheerful and the start was quite fun !
The only thing that bothers me, and it's often the same with sageuk dramas, are the horses saddles ! As a rider myself, I cannot stay focused when I see modern saddles on the horses. It's just not right! It's definitely the worse anachronism in k-dramas.
Just finished watching it... I gave 5 stars because I grew attached to the characters while watching this drama but it's definitely not worth it.
The scenario was messed up, the same things kept on repeating themselves again and again. The characters seemed to have partial amnesia as they acted as if they had forgotten atrocious things other characters did to them.
The OST was bland, the same 3 songs were played during the whole series.
What bothered me quite a bit was the visible ignorance of the scenarist : how come that woman who spent the last 30 years of her life in America act like an 100% Korean ajjumah ? The way she dresses, speaks and think is definitely not how someone who has been living in a western country for so long would do.
And the worst part was the whole “Siblings” problem…I wanted to pull all my hair out… Even after living in Korea for more than 5 years, I’ve never heard something so ridiculous.
I liked it ! I feel like the writer wanted to show korean people that they can open their minds and think differently sometimes...
In this drama there is not the typical rich guy/poor girl couple, the main character has homosexual friends and is not telling them they are wrong (like koreans usually do), the french people also tell the koreans tourists they can't always be kings and do wahatever they want just because they are customers...
There are so many other little things in this drama, things that sometimes I want to tell people in my daily life here in Korea, because I'm french and I can't always take in their closed thinking...
I feel a little relieved after watching this drama :)
I'm watching episode 5, does anyone else like Nurse Oh ?
I think her attitude is really fun. I'd love to have a nurse like her next time I'll go to the hospital, it'll make my stay much more pleasant ! ;)

I think he is a likeable and friendly character in "The Liar and His Lover" :)
