Firstly, I give gold stars to anyone who chooses to keep this series alive. I personally really enjoyed this retelling. I've been a fan of Hakuouki since 2016 or 2017, and have seen some pretty cringe versions of the story, yet this one left me smiling and cheering. If you know the story, you'd know that this one follows the anime/game(Hiji's route) almost word for word(aside from missing characters), but I felt it was excecuted well. I never go into these dramatizations expecting high quality Hollywood type content. But I felt like effort was really put into this version based on others i've seen. So kudos to the directors and actors, 🙌🏾 I look forward to a second season to continue the story!
