I wish I had dropped it when I didn't really feel like it was for me. I thought it would get better for me but it never did... I watched all the way to the end. There were a few things I liked about it but overall I found it really hard to get into and never did. :( And I love the slower paced and slice of life! But not this one, unfortunately.

I think having a better idea of what to expect would have helped me get through the drama a little easier, ha! I actually ended up watching it partially sped up so I could get through it a bit faster... maybe not the most ideal way to watch it for fans of the drama. I'm sure fans would say I'd have to really fully absorb the dialogue and savor it to really appreciate it, but I sort of wanted to just get through with it.

I stuck it out for all the episodes because I thought there might have been a turning point as well, and I do stay curious, but it never really got that much better for me. It had some slightly more interesting moments but as a whole it never quite did anything for me, unfortunately. :-( But I felt the same way you did. I never really saw a ton of character growth, or anything really deep. Hope you end up feeling differently than I did and find more enjoyment towards the end!

I agree. I really typically like calm, mellow slice-of-life dramas that are slooow burn, soothing, and dialogue or character driven, but this drama just didn't do anything for me at all. I felt more invested in Woo-sik's journey and character than anything else.

Thank you for this intelligent review. I'm currently on Ep. 7 and I want to like it, but am having a hard time connecting to the characters, and in addition to the heroine of the story, I'm finding so many other characters to be annoying as well (the ex-boyfriend, the best friend, the younger coworkers, the male coworkers, the mom, the brother) and I agree with everything you said. It's too bad that the talent and beauty of the actors were wasted on such mediocre writing. I'm sure I'll finish it at some point but it probably won't be anytime soon, I'm just not enjoying it as much as I thought I would.
