Def not a romance...

I completely agree. I was so hooked on the show, but it seems as if the writing just got worse and Cha Ji Won's character became stupider as the series progressed. This really annoyed me because she's supposed to be an excellent cop, and she genuinely seems like it in the first few episodes tooooo. But despite this, and all the plot holes, it was still so good??? Like, enough to make me want to ignore all those things, which isn't usually the case for me.

Depicts toxic/selfish relationships and points out how they aren't supposed to be like that, and demonstrates how vital good communication is in any relationship. Also gives generally good life advice + THE CHEMISTRY????? I was blushing so much watching this show, I need an Allen Joo irl please <3

Author was probably trying to avoid giving away major spoilers, so only wrote in strength instead of the actual power which is revealed later in the drama

Yea in the beginning of the show I didn't mind it too much because she didn't know the guys very well and clearly spent her entire delivery career warding off creeps and has had to be on the defensive. Plus all that stuff can mess with your psyche. However, I agree that it's worrying to see her still act like that with Kang Soo and he just kinda smiles at it? It really bugs me but I think relationships are being portrayed in a better way nowadays. :)

I agree it's a bit messy with grandma but HJP and Grandma's relationship is wayyyy more solid and established than DS's. It would have been nice to see him taking care of an orphan like the show said he would and giving him another 'family.' But again, this is all hinted at and established anyway. It would have been more unfair in my opinion if he had to completely cut himself off from Ms. Choi and have him leave. His relationship with the grandma is worth more than the uncomfort of seeing DS and DM occasionally.

I wasn't too satisfied with him 'begging' DS for an investment though. He didn't deserve that, though I can sorta see why the writer did that. She seems to want to keep all her characters together.

yea I don't think he was supposed to be so charming...plus most of his actual scripted lines make him out to be a bit of an ass...he is not suited for Dal Mi at all lol. Also, his scenes with the grandma maybe hit harder for viewers than the writers intended as well. Most viewers see him as the real underdog rather than Do San (which i mean he literally is).

Also, KSH has a good mix of being a ML and SML, he's just that versatile <3. I'm glad this show is making people realize what a treasure he really is.

I think the biggest win was the fact that HJP wasn't lonely by the end. From everything that had been set up with his character and his background, I genuinely was worried the writer was going to do him dirty and just sorta have him leave (like he almost did), but then grandma pulled him back and literally said "don't be lonely, you have me." That right there was the biggest justice he needed, not 'winning over' Dal Mi. We knew he wasn't the ML from the very start, but I love the fact that he had his own story and achieved a family by the end of the show. It was more impactful then a romance.

came here to express my dissatisfaction but considering everyone else is already doing that, here is the stuff I liked!

- acting = chef's kiss
- it was inspirational for me to watch. I really wanna go rewatch and write down every little quote they either referenced or created themselves. As a struggling uni student, I related hardcore to Samsan tech's desks littered with stickie-notes of motivational quotes XD
- an inside look at starting a business. Idk how accurately it was portrayed but you can tell the writers really tried hard to depict what a start up needs to go through. Idk if a real Sand Box exists somewhere but I really hope so. The Sand Box they created for the show was AMAZING. Feel-good to the core.
- the feels. oof between Han Ji Pyeong and Grandma, and the Samsan tech friendship, you got amazing examples of true love and support. SamSan Tech is the friendship of the year, you cannot convince me otherwise
- OST and visuals. beautiful. excellent. show-stopping. probably where the whole budget went.

I don't get the post credits scene on the last episode. Could someone explain what was the parchment thing? It didn't get translated.

Disappointed that Do San cut his hair. Am I the only one who was in love with his shaggy look? :(

I love itaewon class' OST with such a heated passion.

I'm also a fan of Search:WWW and Angel's Last Mission Love. Very different vibes but each was so memorable.

I really wanted to get into Goblin but the second I saw the ML watching her as she exited her school in her school uniform I left. I'm usually not down with age gaps but I have seen a few of the shows on the good list, will try to watch the rest too :)
