That's because most people haven't had any exposure to media of a "more queer-like presentation where guys actually fuck". I mean, the industry doesn't really offer up many decent shows/movies that depict sex thats mature, graphic & explicit in nature. People are likely repulsed because they are ignorant. To be fair though, I think the lack of exposure to sex in media applies to all sex (including straight) & not just that of LGBTQ+. People are just a little soft & prudish, bet most bl fans that claim "it was a bit more than they bargained for" are secretly pink cheeked & panting over it, on the hush hush. Imo, I like all the "romance" *cough* genre lol, but I a fed up with the overly cute lovey-dovey sh*t, but still watch it as there's not much else on offer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (I'm not shy about "guys fucking" part either 😁)
To top it off, there have also been some personal scandals (affairs etc,). It would be unfortunate if peesonal issues are allowed to affect the show. Those in the spotlight are still human and make mistakes too.
Then there's Covid19 which has delayed production too.
