The fall of Qingnan is very sad. Qingnan was far from prepared for an invasion by the enemy, Northern Qin. What was Anning doing for ten years? I believe that Qin has been the enemy of Jing since the former Emperor's days, and an invasion was looming.
Why did Mo Bei bring several thousands of Qin soldiers to Qingnan, while a mere few thousand would easily overrun the city? He could have dispatched half his army to march on Jing. He already had reinforcements at Xiyuan and Han Ye's locations. This proves his father's POV. Mo Bei is not a very smart prince.
My favorite moment of episode 32 was when Han Ye showed up in armor, on horseback. His long hair was neatly wrapped up under his helmet. His face looked beautiful and flawless.
Ming Xi: Watching Ming Xi's abuse of power, redirecting the army to Xi Yuan's distant location, I concluded that he was a bad weiqi player, and that he was never confident of Ren Anle(Xi Yuan)'s military skills. So much for Ming Xi's startegic planning and execution skills! Ming Xi thought he was "I-know-what-I am-doing" chief-in-charge since he was riding in front of the Jing army. Ming Xi is falling apart. He had a desk job too long, so now that he was smelling the air outdoors, he felt empowerment. His head should roll. Muahahahaha!
Mo Bei: Mo Bei drugged and kissed Anning to silence her. He is a pea brain masterminded prince. He came face to face with Emperor Han many times in the palace. He had many golden opportunities to assassinate Emperor. Qin Emperor(or King?) would have promoted him immediately to Crown Prince. Another head should roll. Muahahaha!

Ep 31, I am ignoring the plot holes that's getting bigger and bigger. Logic pretty much non existence. Is it because…
Wasn't there an issue about no kisses in Long Ballad, as well? I remember that two parrots or lovebirds were seen cuddling in lieu of ML and FL kissing.
Yeah. Don't watch previews. Don't ever. Maybe because he should have/ could have known but didn't warn her? It…
Perhaps Leng Bei was her career guidance counsellor, helping her achieve greatness, so he could stick next to her, like glue. He must have been getting restless for the last few years, waiting for her to go home to Jing, where he really needed to be. Not that he did much, except chat with Left Chancellor.
It gets a lot better around ep. 21/22. Don't be put off by all the negative comments. We only rant because we…
I agree with you. I would have dropped this by the midpoint, a year or two years ago, but I kept going. Now, I am just counting down the episodes to the end.
I've been waiting for Xiao Shunyao to have a lead role since The Blue Whisper. And seriously I'm so happy now,…
I started searching for his videos on You Tube yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that he is a singer. He is very good, acting menacing. I knew his face when I started watching MLC. It took a day, but I began to recall his roles in Long Ballad and TTEOTM.
Finally caught up to ep 18. When I first started with ep 1, I thought Cheng Yi was miscast, how could he physically…
I recognized WQM's face from somewhere and noticed the references to TTEOTM. Then I could picture the character in that drama. She was annoying, as hell.
Something is not wired right in his brain. He showed up at the pharmacy where LLH was treating a patient, and started to bad mouth LLH immediately. He chased away the patient, and went into a tirade.
