It makes you wonder why the palace kept LMX around since he was working for the Di family, as bodyguard. The emperor would have shipped him out to the border, or killed him.

Does LMX even suspect Left Chancellor? LMX knows that someone is behind the Fake Chengen assassination plot. Instead of idling in his office and his secret hideout, he needs to start strategic planning. I don't recall him planning anything strategically. His problem is that his partner in crime is missing in action.

I loved when Han Ye grabbed Anle's arm, and led her out of the room.

I don't think Anle is going to tell Han Ye that she is planning to kill all the Han family members and servants, or that he would make a good emperor.

The questions of the day are:

1) Will she tell Han Ye that she knows that he knows, or will they keep talking to themselves about it?

2) Will she tell LMX that she knows that Han Ye knows?

3) Will LMX tell Han Ye that Anle knows that Han Ye knows?

I didn't trust Lengbei entirely when he first appeared. His eyes looked shifty. In episode 21, the spy asks him about the list of generals. I guess that his mission is to get all the names of the Jing generals, so they can be targeted for assassination. He is a snake. He brought the sister to see Anning, and attempted to drug the tea. Anning is stupid. Why doesn't she ask why he is hanging out with the Northern Qin Princess. After all, he is not supposed to be a Qin subject, and he works for Anning. Mo Shuang is very annoying. She keeps popping up in Anning's face on purpose.

Why isn't Anning suspicious that he and Mo Shuang are almost attached at the hip? Why should he, a subordinate, invite the Princess of Qin to come and chat with Anning? Isn't he being presumptuous? Qin is the enemy of Jing. Anning drank the tea, and was unconscious for a day, and doesn't think something is wrong. Anning has been hanging out with Lengbei too long. He is the only companion that she has had for five years. The co-dependency is like Mu Qing and Chengen's relationship. She needs to find a new friend...like LMX or Linlang.

The Qin Prince is selfish and calculating. If he confesses later that he did it all for her, Anning should stab him in the heart. He and Mo Shuang are like Siamese twins, virtually inseparable. She is even starting to spy on Anning, touching her things without asking permission.

It's a one sided reveal. I don't think Anle will know that Han Ye knows, for many episodes to come. Anning might or might not confront her.

Anle was stupid. Yan He was about to tell her that Wen Shou was her brother, but she interrupted him gruffly. Shut up, Woman, and let the man ramble! He thought he was dying, and wanted her to know that her brother was alive.

Every time I see Minxi with Han Ye and/or Anle, I LOL, and slap the table. It is so funny to watch Minxi's expression. He is the typical SLS.

Same here! I hated her character in Princess Weiyoung, but liked her in Ingenious One.

Did they explain where the 30,000 navy soldiers were recruited from? Are they from various regions on the continent? Is Anle Abode, a sub-kingdom, for lack of a better word?
