I keep going back to the MDL cast list and the Dramawiki page to identify the characters. MDL has the photos, and Dramawiki groups them by family relationship, more or less.

I watched five episodes last night. The cast is good looking.

"Light comedy" is on point. Who comes up with the tags, btw?

Because I am watching two costume dramas concurrently, I am having trouble retaining the names of the characters in this drama. I might have to start calling them by their last name only; Li, Fang and Di. 😀 😃 😄

I am also going to start Young Blood Season 1 tonight, so I will get very confused with the drama plots, the characters' names and their job descriptions.

What happened to Di Sheng Tian? Did LMX tell DYZ that Great Aunty was alive and well, and nearby?

Loopholes in ep 29! I guess we will see some flashbacking soon, that should answer these questions.

🤣🤭😅 Whenever ancient characters cough, I think, "why aren't you coughing into your handkerchief?" Sometimes, they cough the germs into the air or their palm, while people are around them. They wear so much cloth, that could make many little handkerchiefs.

Destined's Luo Yuru had a very successful rouge business. She could open a cosmetic shop in Jing. ☺

That was one of the main reasons for Nirvana in Fire's success. The author wrote all the scripts.

Casual observations while watching ep# 29:

1) Emperor started coughing again after at least three episodes.

2) Han Ye was being his usual cryptic self, talking in circles to Mingxi about Wen Shuo. He has a certificate in Codes and Cyphers.

3) Lengbei followed Anning into the prison like a puppy on her heels. Does he dress her, and prepare her bath, too?

4) Anle's foundation makeup is snow white. It is lighter than her neck skin tone. She needs to blend it with some blush powder.

5) Wen Shuo and Anle have the same eyebrows, that proves they are related to each other.

6) Left Chancellor whispered to Lengbei for the last time. The villains are dropping like flies. Marquis, Dowager Empress, Left Chancellor!

LOL Producers also get profit sharing and a nice paycheck. They should have hired the novelist as a consultant.

"...its happening, its happening and then..... it doesn't.... come on HY tell someone, tell anyone,,,,,,please!" It's just Han Ye, talking in circles again.

Each of the four producers probably had a dedicated team of director and writer. The maximum number on this project should have been two directors and two writers.

Han Ye was talking in circles to Mingxi, about Wen Shuo. Besides Han Ye's assistant, does anyone even know that Wen Shuo is MIA?

I hope the investigative trio team resumes. Without DFS, LLH and FDB are boring companions.

The female villain is trying to seduce Di Fei Sheng, She wanted to undress him for bed in episode 16. He told her to get lost. He looks serious, too.

He would make a good fiction writer.

At the end of episode 27, is Han Ye talking in circles with Emperor, to confuse or reason with him? LOL Good luck with that, Han Ye!

Did Emperor stopped coughing in episode 26 and 27. He could live to 60 (...age of his Mama Dowager).

Emperor is not even aware that Qin is plotting to overthrow him. He is so weak, and he might not have control of his army. If the Di army of 80,000 was still around, they would have defended him against an invasion. Anning might be Great General, but Qin Prince Mo Bei is her military confidant. LOL I can't wait for this arc to explode in Emperor's face.

She is just like her father. No peripheral vision!

Han Ye needs to stop talking in circles.
