1. Han Ye had 4 other brothers and one sister other than Anning. Elder brother, 5th brother, 6th brother and 13th…
"His father had been feeding him with some elixir since he's small so that he wouldn't be poison by his other brothers." Emperor should have been taking that elixir, to prevent his cough.
Thanks for the book outline. All the above explain why the novel was popular, and why it was picked up as a drama. (Edited comment)
According to Wen Shuo, he didn't even know about his own wedding. They ambushed him.
Contract marriages in ancient times were usually boring and impersonal, without romantic sentiment. In that sense, Han Ye and Ziyuan's contract marriage is well portrayed.
I think he is 6'3 or 6'4. He's 12 to 13 inches taller than I. π
I first saw him in Long Ballad. I watched him on PR shows and music performances on youtube, and he looked lanky. I even bought some of his songs on Itunes.
Han Ye decided to sacrifice his life for Ziyuan, and the fall off the cliff was the end of the line, in his mind. What about the Jing kingdom? He didn't know that Emperor Han was dying soonish, but wasn't he concerned about the continuity of the throne? He was all about "I am the Crown Prince", and the people. We don't know if drama Jing had other sons to succeed him, if Han Ye had died. If there was direct male heir, Emperor would have to make an Open Casting Call for Han relatives.
Same! What decisions do you think are fuzzy? You know how much I like dissecting things :D
My conjecture #990:
The final mountain showdown between Han Ye & Team Jing and Mo Bei and Team Qin
Han Ye deliberately sent Ziyuan elsehwere knowing that Mo Bei was setting a trap on the mountain to kill her. Since he, Ziyuan and Mingxi wanted to avenge the death of Anning, and capture and kill Mo Bei, why didn't they conspire to set a trap for him instead of going off on their tangents? A trap for a trap, as in "an eye for an eye"! "United, we stand! Divided, we fall!"
When Han Ye was shot by two dozen plus arrows, did he think he was at death's door? While he rambled on, did he decide to jump over the cliff, thinking Mo Bei & Team Qin would defile his corpse, and hold it as a ransom to Jing Emperor?
When he landed on the ground, didn't he break his neck, and all the bones in his body? He didn't have a scratch on his face, even though he should have landed face down?
Finished this drama and aside from the 3 leads, I love LinLang the most. I have no words to say, I only hope Reba,…
I came to the Anle party for the three main leads, and stayed for them and the costumes. In the end, Wen Shou gets the MVP (Most Valuable Player) Award.
I was up early, and watched the final episode. I fell asleep three times. The best part of this episode was the red wedding costumes. Mingxi's costume was the best. Five people dressed in wedding costumes. I donβt thInk I have seen that in a drama before.
Flashbacks could have been replaced by fresh new scene. During Han Ye and Ziyuan's conversation, the singer started singing. Why overIay their dialog with a song, Mr Editor and Mr Director? The subtitler was alternating the subs on the dialog and singing, but it was still confusing to follow the dialog.

We will have to see if the pattern changes in her future dramas.
