We are all on the same page regarding Tian Guinong and Nanlan. Does MRF know that TGN has despised him for decades? I suspect that TGN put the poison on the sword to kill Hu Yidao, to frame him for the murder.
If I had to rank the characters, Tian Guinong an NanLan would be at the very bottom of the list. Tian is such a patronizing, overacting boor and an oaf. His scenes in episode 22 were nauseating. Master Fu saw through his fake act. Tian seems to take up most of the screen, with his bulkiness.
The fight scene with HF and MRF in ep 22 was the best. I don't know why Fourth Uncle Ghost appears to HF. He should remain on the other side. Lady Cheng is too cute. She and HF should end up together since Ziyi is sworn nun and sect leader.

Tian Guinong is getting more screen time than Maio Ren Feng, for some reason. Will he be the one who put the poison on the sword, to kill Hu Fei's father and frame Miao for his death? I think Tian said he was jealous of Miao all his life. He might have done that, to get rid of Miao.
Miao has not aged in twenty years. He looked about the same age as Master Hu in episode 1. Is Maio in his 40s or 50s?

PBEL embellished the FJ and DJ side story, to stretch it into fifty-four episodes. They neglected Mo Yuan, which would have made the drama very interesting.
The PB drama is vastly different, so there was no continuity... only three actors from PBEL.
