I noticed the same thing about the drama. Queen B&*@h's scenes are boring, as well as her two misfit sons' scenes. I wanted Imperial Messenger to encounter Bai Fengxii, but that didn't happen, as of ep 18. I haven't picked up ep 19 to 22 yet.

If they hit the ground running, I hope they don't have extraneous flashbacking interrupting the flow of the plot. It's only 24 episodes, so they shouldn't have time to waste on flashbacking or flashbacks. The character should recap the past in dialog.

I had the same opinion of the FL. As usual, she had a temperament makeover as the story progressed. I stayed for Shen Yan . Liu Ling wasn't that bad. I liked Touba Lei some of the time. He's nice looking. Shen Yu was competent, but he was chasing Lady in Waiting Jin. I don't understand why he ended up in the prison in the final episode. I don't get the outcome of FIL Prince rebelling against Emperor...or was it against Touba Lei? I guess I will have to watch the final episode for the third time. LOL
