I think it's kinda funny that the actor Ning Li (Li Fengtian) also played the character Zhang Chao from "The Long Night" (Burning Ice's sequel). Bro once again met the character Yan Liang who was played by Liao Fan. But that's also awesome since both of the characters he played had very contrasting personality. Li Fengtian who was an erratic psycho vs Zhang Chao a criminal consultant. He nailed both characters.
It's unimaginable how there are still people who follow and even worship these devils. What are they thinking? Does God rape innocent young girls? Does God beat a kid who still didn't know how to differentiate right and wrong? Does God steal money from prayers? Does God gamble? How can these people be so blind as to believe those cult leaders???
I cried during ep 6. I feel complicated as whether to sympathise or condemn the people involved. How could they beat their own family members? How could they? Just what religion ordered its followers to beat their own family? Not to mention when the victim was just a little kid.
He's actually an excellent actor. He can act. Not just selling his handsome face to get a role. I hope he'll be more famous and acknowledged in the future and get to play different roles with various emotion range. Waiting for his upcoming projects.
Had a great potential but was ruined by the side characters' romantic plot.
Yes, indeed, every character deserves their own stories. Some people may like it, but it just doesn't work for me. It might've been fine if they didn't drag the drama and wasted circa 10 episodes to tell the romantic development between side characters. I had to skip from ep 23-38 just to see the ending without thinking much about other side stories.
Still, this drama has higher budget than ROTR and I was glad the characters look gorgeous (especially their hairstyles). The chemistry between the two main leads is also sweet with a lot of enjoyable scenes (since I always skipped many scenes just to watch the main plot (the mystery and political plot) as well as the main couple's romantic development).

HUH????????? IS THIS ALLOWED???? Like, they're gonna skip some parts and make it less gayer? Which i doubt it will come out as good as the original material (since, cough, the bl part is so good). But well, I just hope for the best of it.
DAMN, THE DIFFERENCES. SMYM IS MY BEST WATCH AT THE END OF THIS YEAR.
THANKSSS DIRECTOR, ACTORS, SCREENWRITER, EVERYONE INCLUDED IN THIS PROJECT. LOVE Y'ALL.
