My comment wasn't specifically aimed at you tbh (too many people complaining about FL and dropping the drama for that very reason) I happened to only see your post praising Ding Yuxi's portrayal (naming him) while 'putting down' the FL (branding her as annoying) hence my misunderstanding... I read your review and some of your posts about the drama and I realized you liked Deng Enxi's performance, my bad, let me apologize...
Everything else is just me rambling and marvelling at their unexpected and 'match-made in heaven' chemistry and that they're the very reason why I stuck to this drama to the end. This drama is worth watching and is very much underrated imho. 8.1 is low and I'm afraid it will decrease in the future...that's why I'm very touchy when it comes to this drama haha

I do not agree. I really liked Deng Enxi's performance as Yan Xing/Liuniang. Her acting didn't pale in comparison to Ding Yuxi for a rookie...she did very well and held her own imo. I even think she is one of the best partner he ever had (Yu Shuxin being his best) Chemistry was quite good despite the 10 years age gap and heart-fluttering. Kisses were decent (probably her first on-screen kiss with someone more experienced so I wouln't hold it against her) +their interactions were cute and playful (at least they locked lips unlike LGIEF *still bitter*) They matched very well. MOGA is literally the drama that made me fell in love with Xiao Ding. Shen Du has a special place in my heart and will probably remain for a long time my most favorite character of Ding Yuxi.
Regarding Chui Chui, I agree. She was the weakest link acting-wise and her scenes were very eye-roll inducing (the actress was in 'Love is Sweet' and she was also annoying in there)
I feel so proud watching him finally getting the recognition he deserves. 2024 was definitely his year. Boy is incredibly talented and such a precious soul. I feel like I stan the right person ❤️ Wishing him even more success in 2025.

'Melody of Golden Age' is so underrated imo and that's a shame... I fell in love with Ding Yuxi thanks to this drama...Shen Du will always be famous and swoon-worthy (literally my fav male lead character this year with Wang Xing Yue's Duke Su)
Seeing her like that is really heartbreaking...I've been concerned about her declining health for a while therefore I'm not even surprised...She needs a break, her main priority at the moment is to take care of herself and regain health. Traveling, enjoying moments with her family and friends, eating her favorite food is what she should do right now... She and her agency should realize that working this hard won't do her any good in the long run. Rather the opposite. Wishing her a speedy recovery and hope to see the old Lusi back all smile and healthier.
