If there's no angst or conflict, there's no drama in the end...
No probs...if that's really too hard watching that part of the plot (Stalker/Creep uncle)...you should just wait for it to end tbh then decide if you want to continue or not...anyway ending is rewarding (aka HE) and will most probably satisfy you. Fighting!
I did plan to watch this (mainly for Zhang Ling He) but I didn't think I would like it this much in the end (I was more looking forward to his modern drama with Zhao Jin Mai produced by Daylight tbh) This one is a pleasant surprise and has become my comfort drama these days...I can't help giggling and kicking my feet while watching it🤭❤️

I'm not a teen, I'm probably older than you and this drama is my fav xianxia (and a reference to the genre). I've become a fan of the male lead thanks to this show. Concerning LBFAD, FL is fucking childish in the beginning (+getting used to Esther's high pitched voice wasn't easy at first) and it took me a while before warming up to the show tbh (15 episodes)....mind you it was my first xianxia after years of watching k-dramas and I was quite prejudiced...over-the-top make up and costumes made me cringe and at that time I didn't think I could bring myself to watch such tacky 'entertainment'
And as much as I loved LBFAD, drama wasn't perfect either (ending was rushed and the mortal arc was pretty boring imo) All in all, there's no need to pit both series against each other...they both have qualities and flaws in the end... To each his own...

As for AX, I don't take her seriously anymore since the day she mocked Cheng Yi's lines delivery in MLC and rated the drama as mediocre (MDL rating: 9 and Douban: 8.5). I don't care about her opinion and @peng-peng is right, she is a well-known TJC fan and you're probably not aware but most of his fandom hate Deng Wei like sin. I rest my case...
