'The Last Immortal' tbh because screenwriter is one of my fav in C-entertainment (I watched most of her works and I loved them) Though this one is probably one of her weakest. Bad editing kinda ruined the flow imo...Still I enjoyed it a lot. That's why I'd advise you to watch it with low expectations... (go to 'The Last Immortal' page on MDL for more opinions)
what are some wang an yu drama recommendations?? preferably not modern..
But why? Modern dramas is the genre that suits him the best💯 Anyway... For historical/xianxia * The Last Immortal (with Zhao Lusi) * Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty (if you don't mind the Qing dynasty's hairstyle😬🙃) with Li Landi
Wait, in the beginning of 13, they're talking about what main couple is like now.. she's married and two kids????…
What?!? Ok, I need to process that info😭If true, I can't help but be a tad disappointed...I was hoping that after going through thick and thin together, they would end up with each other somehow *crying in a corner*
Edit: Soooo, they will give us a La La Land ending...that was the thing I was dreading the most...arghh Plus I don't think I can handle the 1 episode/day schedule...I may put that one on-hold and wait for the finale.
I respect your opinion but there's nothing mid about the guy imo. He's handsome. Him and He Yu were the best thing…
While I liked the Ming dynasty costumes very much, makeup was badly done imo and for everyone...and don't get me started with the hairpieces🙄 RL Xin Yun Lai is still as cute and handsome as ever
Who are you to make such a request? Are you a professional critic? Working in the industry?🤔 Before that show,…
Excellent performance from the FL🙄 Let's not exaggerate either... She did well in this drama and I admit she was watchable compared to her other stints. I for instance never warmed up to her acting before this show and I've seen her in a lot of things. As for the rest of the cast, acting was decent imo, not mindblowing (Xin Yun Lai included). Concerning the villains, I largely preferred Liang Yong Qi and Li Meng's performances in 'The Double' (from same author)... super riveting and I couldn't help but pity them despite their despicable nature. Plus Liang Yong Qi dubbed himself and that's a huge plus because it adds more depth to a performance imo. Yu En Tai in 'The Glory' was good and all but he didn't wow me either. Sometimes his mannerisms were annoying and clownish...no offense it's just my opinion. Wen Zheng Rong was great as usual and probably the best actress in the whole drama (they really did her dirty in 'Fox Spirit')
Xin Yunlai should retire from being an actor. I don't know what directors see in him. Dude can't act or even move…
Who are you to make such a request? Are you a professional critic? Working in the industry?🤔 Before that show, I watched him in ShenLi and 'In Between' and he is a decent actor imo. Believe me, I've seen far worse....
male lead is fine in modern clothes but in costumes he was kinda mid? i hope this is not offensive thing to say.
I respect your opinion but there's nothing mid about the guy imo. He's handsome. Him and He Yu were the best thing looks/visual wise in 'The Legend of ShenLi' for instance....though I only completed that drama for Zhao Liying tbh.
While I'm enjoying it for now, I'm just afraid they will give us an ending a la La La Land (show is giving me the same vibe) and I'd hate it...f*ck the realism...I want them together in the end.
Xin Yun Lai has limited screentime compared to Chen Du Ling. That's probably why you feel this way... Chemistry…
Ok, that's your opinion...I do feel the chemistry between them and that's a feat because Chen Du Ling's main flaw is her lack of chemistry with her partners imo.
I don't know if it's the role limitations but CDL's acting outshines XYL. Considering we're halfway through the…
Xin Yun Lai has limited screentime compared to Chen Du Ling. That's probably why you feel this way... Chemistry is good and both their acting complement each other imo. First time I like Chen Du Ling's acting tbh (she was for instance the weakest link in Mysterious Lotus Casebook but to her defense, her role was small)
Though this one is probably one of her weakest. Bad editing kinda ruined the flow imo...Still I enjoyed it a lot. That's why I'd advise you to watch it with low expectations... (go to 'The Last Immortal' page on MDL for more opinions)
