Probably the strongest first episodes I've seen in a while. Started this for my newfound crush Ding Yuxi and I'm sure not disappointed. I love everything about it and I haven't laughed this much in a long time. Esther Yu is absolutely delightful as the girl who desperately needs to complete/finish the game/novel in order to be able to go home and Ding Yuxi has that irresistible charm to him which you can't help but fall for+their chemistry is off the charts. Definitely my favorite show at the moment! It deserves more than 8.0 imo.

Director's choice I guess...Park Shin Hye was indeed very bad in that department in the past but she has greatly improved lately (Doctor Slump episode 15 made me change my mind)
The ending did salvage a bit the drama imo...not thanks to the script but thanks to both main leads outstanding performances. I literally bawled my eyes out on the final episode 😭I was planning to give a rating of 7.5 at first but 8/10 will be my final rating.
Disappointing. Only saved by the amazing performances of the leads. Bi Wenjun was wasted as Yue Qin and unpopular opinion I didn't like whiny and greasy Crown Prince's arc (neither his character nor his performance) and don't get me started on the one-note acting of the girl playing Luo Mei. Liu Xueyi and Wu Jinyan deserved so much better.

True. She claimed both leads were dubbed by VA in 'The Double' when most people know Wang Xing Yue dubbed himself (many people have pointed it out in the comments but she didn't even listen to them and never admitted her mistake in the end)
