If there is one thing about adaptation from novel to drama. Is that they somewhat change the flow of the story. Even characters.
Honestly, I wouldn't say Yuri force Jay2x into this engagement. In one of the previous episode (I forgot 😅😂), Angelo mentioned, "if he should accept the Hanamitchi's condition", in the family meeting, since their other branch is about to go bankrupt (minus Jay2x). And besides before the whole "I fell for you" on Yuri and Jay, Angelo was already trying to create a business deal with Hanamitchi.
I think in the drama, the grandpa kinda likes Jay2x for Yuri (based on that dinner they had). Something like "my grandson became more well-behaved since you arrive, might as welll strike a deal". A win-win situation.
I wonder if Jay found out about the plan later on? The drama is kinda cringe, need to skip those parts.
Jay2x family is so messed up. I read somewhere, Aries (mom) and Percy (dad) are her half-brothers. And all three are kinda the same age or at most 1 year apart. She's like the unwanted child or something.
