Person Kang Ji Hwan
I'm not a fan of Kang Ji Hwan but I enjoy the dramas that I've seen him be in. Alas, it's really quite sad what…
I guess you're a prosecutor on the case now lol. The facts of the case are that he tried to pay the victims under the table. That alone is suspicious. He was convicted of his crimes. Idk what you get out of defending a rap*st.

You are absolutely right ..I cant imagine the psychological condition of victimwatching him on big screen Ironically…
its not like he's this great, one in a million kind of actor with amazing performances in hit dramas. Like is SK really running out of old male actors? Its even more ridiculous that celebs who were caught using drugs for ADHD and other issues get blacklisted from the industry while this man is getting roles left and right.

His role here is the devilish villain Joe.
lol you think letting others know they're watching a rapist is a sabotage? the world doesn't revolve around your oppa. you can still watch it, I'm not your mother. I'm just letting people know. this was literally my only comment on this drama (ofc until you decided to butt in). lol a campaign of sabotage, the first time I've heard such theatrics.

lol still doesnt make any difference. the fact he's still getting roles (main ones at that) in hit shows while the girl will be traumatized forever. ew.

lmao definitely. though I would argue people at least acknowledge that Cha Eunwoo isnt the best actor there is,…
He doesnt do much for me but that doesnt invalidate your opinion. He's a little too hyped here on MDL so I'm just being petty. I really liked him in Yanxi Palace as well for the record.

oh I see. sorry about that. I must have misread it. And I agree, the 2ML actor is definitely dressed down a bit.

Yeah but those are all subjective. Thats just your opinion. Both Itawon Class and True Beauty ML were better 'ooking to me. The dramas themselves NEVER states that the 2ML is supposed to be better looking. Its accepted in the universe of the drama that the ML is the best guy. Kind of like how even when the FL is obviously gorgeous, the drama world's characters act like she's a hideous monster.

I do agree the actor who plays 2nd lead here has had better looks. I'm just correcting you on how due to the rules of dramaworld, the ML is almost always stated as the better looking (which to be fair are changing considerably these days esp in Kdramas). Cdramas like these are still somewhat stuck in the past and always has to make the ML the best in all categories.

Japan has been making historical dramas since 1963. It's called Taiga Drama. Look up on wiki and you'll find a…
idk if China and Korea are already doing the lighthearted historical romcom thing, why does Japan have to do it as well? Its good to have variety. If people are going to miss out on amazing historical jdramas bc they think its serious then thats their loss. I have a lot of respect for the Japanese entertainment industry for doing what they want and not caring about making extra bucks by casting the same five idol actors in another drama about a fairy/immortal/demon/girl in a eunuch disguise. Most of these Chinese and Korean historical dramas (esp china) are mass produced and lack quality.

Also, international audiences are capable of appreciating well-made serious historicals (Dae Jang Geum, Jumong, Queen Seon Doek). I remember that Jumong had 90% viewership rating in Iran when it aired. Its just SK has attracted a lot of teenagers in recent years through kpop and romcoms that great historicals arent being appreciated. In the long run, quality, well made dramas are what remains while there will be 11 new dramas about a pretty martial arts girl falling in love with an aloof immortal god waiting to replace the old ones.

Lastly, jdramas already target a lot of youngsters with their modern dramas, not to mention manga/anime is literally a Japanese creation. The whole Hana Kimi, Meteor Garden, Playful Kiss thing was started by Japan (and Taiwan). Even now there are tons of cheesy dramas coming out of Japan. 2019's Good Morning Call was just Playful Kiss in disguise. They already make tons of money and gained a lot of fans with their content, if they do not want to do the same with their historicals, that's their choice.

Everyone doing the same thing is also not great for the future of Asian media bc eventually people will grow up and learn to appreciate quality dramas rather than cheesy romcoms. Doing something different and thinking innovatively is how an industry improves. If everyone did the same thing, it will remain stagnant.
